Huge blow for the Gnats. Melky has been banned for 50 games due to you-know-what. But on the othe rhand, I'm kinda nervous. These guys that get tested positive are random. It could be one of the Dodgers next. Oh God, we better hope our stars are clean...
They have one more series against the Giants in San Francisco. The Giants have been terrible at home lately as well. They play TWO home series against the D-backs, and one road series, who they are currently 4-5 against, a home series against the Braves which is a good team as well.
I dunno, I am thinking positive. If the Giants have a bad series, or a sub par series against the D-backs or the Braves...or if they lose a couple games they shouldn't to like the Rockies or the Padres. The division title likely comes down to the next Giants Dodgers series.
The Dodgers have the Nats series to worry about, the Cards and Reds and the Giants series.
It's still a toss up my friend.
Both teams got work to do if they want to beat the other one.
Goes to show how much of a waste C.J Wilson is, Angels also have to have the worst bullpen in baseball besides Frieri. But as a Halo fan it is nice to see the emergence of Mike Trout and Albert having a pretty good year after his awful April.
Sounds like the Dodgers won the waiver claim on Gonzalez. I might change my mind if he actually ends up a Dodger haha. Long ways to go before that happens, though, as we saw with the Cliff Lee example.
Whether we get A-Gone or not (which we won't), this is a great sign that the new owners are serious about winning. We are gonna be the west coast Yankees. Yes, spending doesn't always mean winning titles but the division rivals will always fear us for getting players we want.
Dude, **** just go real! Apparently, Boston doesn't give a **** as long as they get rid of some of the big/bad contracts. The only big prospect that I'm hearing is Rubby de la Rosa.
Dude i'll take Beckett to have A-Gone at first. Loney and Rivera are pathetically bad bats for a first baseman.
If Beckett is heading to Dodgers someone needs to have lots of fried chicken and beer in the club house for him. Dont let the door hit you in the butt Beckett
The Dodgers don't have the opportunity to make a Jeff Carter trade (A-Gon ain't happening) and they don't have a Darryl Sutter managing them.
I just don't see how anyone who has been watching professional sports for any amount of time could write off the Dodgers as early and easily as you have. Furthermore, after watching what happened with our Kings just a few months ago your cynicism is truly baffling to me.
Sure we don't have Sutter but last time I checked Donny Baseball wasn't managing us out of games. If you are looking at pure statistics and numbers this Dodger lineup on paper is much better than what the Kings put on the ice last season.
I would have thought we would have all learned our lesson about throwing in the towel by now.
