I really wouldn't be making any trades until the game is officially out and you know for sure each player's ratings, players like Babchuk for instance are great in the game, especially now that it's easier to get point shots through, guy has an absolute bomb.
actually nvm vermette has to be a typo because the way EA has it set up is it goes the best at every posistion like best lines and if vermette is ahead of hanzal (80) it means vermette must be higher than 80 which leads me to believe he has to be a 83. does that change anybody''s mind on this trade?

Vermette(83) is barely better than Stajan (82)
Klesla (82) > Babchuck (79)

Hudler is in front of him on the depth chart and is rated 81 which means stajan has to be lower than a 81 which leads me to believe that stajan is not a 82 but instead is a 72. But also he's getting Glencross for a 4th because between the other 4 players involved in the deal he is dropping 11 points from vermette to stajan and 4 points from klesla to butler. That's 15 point drop! Which is pretty big, in a way I think I would be ripping him off. I get the best player in the deal in vermette who is a point higher than Glencross than get another 82 in klesla for two players in the 70's one of them very low 70's (stajan,72)

Thats horrible for you, you give up a Top 5ish D, Top 6 Winger and a 3rd line Center for a 2nd Line Center, 4th liner and a 4th round pick.

I doubt Stajan is a 73 lowest I could reasonably see is 78. He is likely an 80-82.

^^ and they way I see it is I'm giving up a 2nd line winger for a 2nd line center, giving away a bottom pairing Defencman for a #4 solid Defencman and getting rid of stajan and his 3.5 mil cap hit for a 3rd. And if I'm right and stajan's rating is 72, getting a 3rd for him and his contract is amazing. That's just my opinion and I'm pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on this trade.
85 is what Iginla is rated in the game, while i think it is a bit low, it obviously is due to his defensive stats being somewhat low. 85-99 is what the first line players are rated as in the game.
What people seem to forget about the game is that you can actually MAKE Stajan score goals.
Kotalik was a boss for me and after a string of injuries, turned into my No.1 RW and almost got me out of the first round of the playoffs by himself.
The trading in this game really needs to be looked at a different way. You control the players and make them do what you want. Go for the best player. Always.

Stajan is not 72 as you can see Backlund is rated 77 and Jones is 71 but Jones is on the 3rd line and Backlund is on the 4th and Babchuck is a 79 but is below Butler who is a 78. The lineup is made to be most realistic not purely on player ratings.
I'm not trading stajan cuz he sucks in real life but he also sucks in the game. He is a 72, that makes 3.5mil. In exchange im getting a 83 center. That makes my center depth by 11 points! Plus EA has emphasized that players with better ratings will perform better and players with low ratings will play like there rating. If that's true, stajan at 72 will be pretty bad. He is the 3rd worse player on the flames, barely ahead of jones and jackman both at 71

Well even if he is a 82, the deal is done now and I may have screwd myself, but sill i got the other gm to add Boyd Gordon (77) and a 3rd. So it the final deal looks like:
You made a big mistake man, vermette is only supposed to be a 73
that may be true, but i am hoping that the 73 is a typo and he is instead a 83, which would better suit vermette. If i am wrong, the roster update that comes out after the game is released will hopefully fix that because vermette is not 73 material. And if i am wrong and he ends up being a 73, than yes i did screw up but you take some and you lose some and i was willing to take the risk that the 73 was a typo
