Absolutely not. The only thing you have that the Jets want is Duchene.

Would be really stupid to do this from the ANA perspective

How do you figure? Ryan is on the outs in Ana, basically both get a change of scenery and anaheim's stud goal scorer essentially gets a few years younger. And a decent pick in a deep draft. Not bad.

I don't know anything about the prospect.

Smith-pelley is a former 2nd rounder that sofas has outperformed his draft position. Not sure what his probable or absolute upside is though. I think I'll check. I would do the ANA deal over the Edler/kassian deal 10 times/10.

Lets assume Kane wants out of Winnipeg. What are the Jets needs? I'm guessing one would be a winger to replace Kane but what else?

Bobby Ryan scored 30+ goals in the last 4 season, Smith-Pelley did really good in his rookie season and will be a solid top-6 six guy for sure.
Kane is younger than Ryan, but he last year he scored more than 20 goals for the first time and he is a RFA.
So Ryan´s Value > Kane´s Value and Smith-Pelley >>>>>> 2nd round pick

Top 4 shut down man, 20-25g winger, picks, Good Fwd prospects.

So I guess the leafs would not likely be able to help out with the defenseman since in my opinion we need a top 4 shut down guy ourselves. We could off up Lupul as the winger (which wouldn't be enough for Kane straight up in my opinion) but no idea if he would be of interest due to having 1 year left on his deal. Picks I believe we have all our valuable ones still so they could be available. Top 6 forward prospects we are pretty much limited in Kadri. Others such as Colborne, Biggs, Ashton could maybe one day be a top 6 but it is a maybe.

I guess a deal could maybe be worked out, but as always on HF the two sides won't agree on something haha.

Plekanec (shift Little to RW)
Bourque (20-25 goal replacement LW)
Gallagher
1st 2013

Figure that at least gets them to listen.

If Some team was willing to give up a #1 center if we added on to Kane would there be any interest?

Would Anaheim do Ryan for Kane straight up?

I'd definitely say that Ryan has hit a plateau in terms of development, whereas Kane is still on the upswing. IMO, Kane will be the better player, but only time will tell. It depends on how much weight you put on potential really.

But to each their own.

Aside from Bourque, I kind of like this deal. He seemed to struggle.

That makes sense. Now that most teams in the league have a big centre that's good for 25+ goals while playing Selke calibre defence, they aren't worth much.

Jets don't have any interest in bringing in Gagner to be a below average #2C when Burmistrov looks like he could become more than that at both ends of the rink.

Good to see your oilers lines look good though...

Yeah you're not getting Kane unless you're giving up one of your top 4

Pick one:
Hall
Nuge
Eberle
Yakupov

Then you get Kane.

You're not getting him for the garbage you posted.

Not even remotely close Duchene or O'Reily are the only players we would accept

We don't want Hemsky, Gagner is small and average, MPS I don't really know seems like hes been trending downwards. We certainly aren't giving you Burmi too we could get wayyyyyy more for the two of them as a package.

Well, I, a jets fan suggested it. I like it be ause it upgrades so many of our positions. It gives us a top four shut down D and a great 3rd Centre. He may even project higher. It makes antropov expendable and tradeable to a team looking to contend. He may even work as a 2nd line C and that fills out that perfectly. If its not enough maybe an additional 1st rounder?

Like i said ... not anymore...

Hip surgery last summer. Shoulder and wrist surgery this summer..... those are fairly important body parts for an athlete.

Could be Cam Neely for Barry Pederson all over again ... except this time the Jets are Vancouver!!!
