I clicked on this thinking I was going to quickly type "no thank you", but this deal has me thinking.

We have Reilly coming up so Gardiner is somewhat moveable for an asset that can improve the team. I think Harding has a lot of promise.

Good proposal, I'm still on the fence but it has promise.

As a Sens fan, it pains me to say this, but I don't think it's quite enough for Gardiner. It's a good base offer, though probably needs an extra piece.

It's not as bad as some Leafs fans are going to try to tell you it is, but it needs a little extra "oomph", IMO.

Replace Falk with Kampfer, throw in a 2nd or 3rd rounder and it's a deal.

Yeah I was thinking about that after the fact that maybe this wasn't enough and I was going back and forth about it and had decided that maybe it was enough but yeah I was also thinking of maybe adding another prospect in there such as Palmeri (who I fell is very expendable now with the addition of Parise and what not) or Kampfer even though I really like Kampfer and or maybe a draft pick like a 3rd-5th rounder.

But too with Falk he is a bigger guy 6'5" who can take the body and I think that Toronto could use another big guy/enforcer type of guy as well.

I like the idea of Harding to Toronto, but not at the expense of Gardiner.

Backup goalie and a "who?" for the Leafs best young roster player? Not happening

Josh Harding has had the ability to be a starting goaltender in the NHL for the last few years.

This trade isn't nearly as lopsided as Leafs fans think it is.

An injury prone back up goalie who has shown flashes of starter quality. Not very tempting.

Signing him as a UFA (if he had made it there) was already a debated topic among Leafs fans. Getting him for free is one thing, getting him for one of your key future players is another.

Goalies don't have that much trade value because they're so unpredictable. Minnesota will need to send a center as the main piece.

This is a good proposal. Harding is the young goalie the Leafs need.

Add Granlund/Coyle. Harding is unproven. He is NOT what we need, we basically have him in Reimer and Scrivens. Gardiner will not be moved, especially for an unproven career backup.

Granlund is going nowhere. I dont know how Wild fans feel about Coyle.

I'd only move Gardiner if Granlund was on the table in Minnesota TBH, and I don't think that is being unreasonable.

Asking Minnesota to put Granlund in play for anybody Toronto has to offer is being unreasonable. Thats not a shot at Toronto either, I would say the same about my team.

Gardiner will only be traded for a #1 Center, that's about it.

I will respectfully decline. I don't think Gardiner should be traded for goaltending help, and if we are trading for a goalie, i would hope it would be someone more proven.
