It felt like playing the game on high difficulty usually does; CPU intercepting every pass, having every shot result in a rebound that defies the laws of physics to make sure they get it,every cpu team player having a ridiculously long reach, plus the old reliable every hit from a CPU team player levels your guy but all your hits stun your guy and only 1% of the time will your big hitter hitting their smallest guy level him and like I said all your hits stun your guy so even in that 1% the other team will still get the puck before you.
And the skating will take a long time to get used to, although I'm sure the glitchers will be mega experts by September 11.
Also noticed that the other team's goalie went into a split for practically every shot.
After that first game I played HUT and made it through the tournament and things were less annoying.
Most impressive thing so far is the improved strategy screen. Tons of new options.

If he looks as bad as he did in that game the Devils will have to score 6+ to have any chance of winning.
It started with LA up 2-0. I outshot them 15-5 and the final score was 5-0
None of their shots were anything special.
Of course when I played against him in the HUT tournament the game was 0-0 into overtime before Brodeur stupidly put the puck back in play and I pokechecked it into the net.
So I guess the demo has that going for it. Rask, my goalie in the HUT tournament, was excellent. At the start of that Devils game there was a ridiculously long sequence where the Devils had at least 10 shots in 2 minutes and he got them all.
Finally beat that god damn HUT tourney. My D was stacked which was why:

My forwards werent anything special though, I had Grabner-Zetterberg-Iginla and then just Yakupov-Malholtra-Horton.
But the more I play the more I just kind of dislike it. Due to the stupid acceleration and poor AI positioning I can't even make a D to D pass behind the net half to the time. The skating is nice and fluid when you are going straight and I love transitioning backwards and forwards but boy did they ever **** up turning and acceleration.
Look a couple of pages back and RG has directions to get there. It's not as obvious as one might think.
I didn't have any trouble. I went right to the store, right to demos, and it was advertised by one of the spots on the side. I didn't get all the way to the "PS3 demos/PSP demos/etc" selection screen because it was advertised directly well before that screen.
for the 360 users out there who missed it, if you have a gold account you can just go here and it will download to your xbox the first time you connect it to live

Yeah I found it pretty quickly too.
I liked most of the changes made, I just hate the way the players look when they're skating. Looks so odd.

The physics feel different, but I like the differences. Even though I'm not used to it, I like how its a little clunkier than the ultra-refined skating/passing of the previous version.
I also gotta admit I love that Kovy has a cannon for a slap shot. That will be fun to use.
Can't beat friggin HUT in this demo. I did win the first time but wasn't connected to the EA servers so I didn't get the reward pack. Now I cant get passed NJ! Zids has scored two OT winners against me!
got to finals and lost in OT on a Parise snipe...
I alway get to the finals of HUT then get screwed over by USA. lol I played 4 times and every time I had to play USA.
And its Parise always screwing me over in the finals too!!!

Its called the search feature or just go to demos. It will always be under demos so why didn't you just try their first. lol
Edit: I am going to have to learn a whole new way to play this time around.
