That's almost worse than taking out Yak, Feaster is what keeps the Flames out of the playoffs year after year.

As if. Don't try and pin this on HF posters. They took what Matheson posted at face value, nothing more.

So saying an infections means that we are injury riddled and Yakupov is going to have chronic injury problems?

I popped a pimple the other day and it got infected. Does that mean it's serious?

You should get it checked out.

The problem is Matheson is respected for what he did in the past, now other networks are running with it. All because he didn't do his homework. Nothing new to me though, Matheson has been going downhill for years.

Well yeah I understand that if the infection wasn't serious which it wasn't he probably shouldn't have bothered reporting it. However since it was keeping him off the ice and people were wondering why he wasn't on the ice I understand why he reported it. He probably shouldn't have left it open ended though and clarified that he had a non-serious infection and left it at that and that he would return to the on-ice sessions soon.

Nail also confirms that though he did scuff up his knees training earlier this week, he doesn't have an infection

You did notice the smiley right. I was kidding.

I laughed at the post about flesh eating disease.

Again, I was not serious!

here's a pic of Yak that a fan took at the Perry Pearn camp. I cropped out only Yak for privacy reasons. You can see the big scrape on his leg.. but doesn't look really bad like its infected or anything.

Makes sense that he didn't suit up for on-ice training with that wound. Hockey equipment is loaded with bacteria, and it was probably a precautionary thing to avoid putting it on with that fresh a wound on his leg. Infection is definitely a possibility if you don't dress it up properly prior to putting on gear.

Meh. It doesn't look that bad. Hasn't anyone wiped out on a bike when they were young? Looks like road rash to me. Big deal.

Maybe according to Matheson, with the way he blew this out of proportion? Otherwise, I have absolutely no idea what you're getting at.

Good point. He's actually going into surgery today to have his leg replaced with a skate so that he'll still be able to play hockey at a high level.

Yes Matheson is a hack but even with his petty story it was nothing to ever get blown out of proportion.

Going back to Matheson it really is a shame that this guy is in the HHoF.

on a slightly unrelated note, Yakupov appears to have a crush on Anna Galchenyuk ‏(@Agalchy), whom, if you hadn't noticed, is a total babe.

Yep. I don't know that I find her hot though. As a side note Yak and her might be like sisters aren't they really close. Then again that might be what Yak tells Alex.
