Anyone have any tips for me as far as NHL 12-13 goes? I literally haven't played an NHL game since the '08 one and the 13 demo has a crazy different feel than that. So any pointers on how to perform advanced dekes or anything like that?

Play EASHL and watch the right handed Datsyuks dangle. They usually have QC in their gamertags, and about 10,000 pts in 3,000ish games.

Well that's the thing I only have NHL '08 as of now. NHL '13 would be the newest hockey game I've played in years. So EASHL is out of the question. I guess I could just play '08 and just do free skate/shootout mode.
Just a random question too. Are we doing any custom jersey's? Does this GM Connected mode even allow it like the EASHL did? If so are we doing it? It's not a make or break thing for me but rather something I was interested in.

13 seems to be a bit different than last year too with the new skating mechanics. Best advice so far based on the demo is work the puck around to the slot and use a wrister, using D as a screen works good too, but it takes a while to figure out how close you can get before they just poke it away.
Looks like you won't be able to force passes in 13 like you would have been able to in previous years, so keep an eye for the open man. Finding a trailer coming late seems to work well for me.
Skill stick takes a bit to get used to but just keep practicing in free skate and you'll get it figured. I find the advanced dekes fairly useless for the most part to be honest. The old Bombay triple deke works just as well.
