How many teams are there for fantasy hockey on these boards? I really need to get away from those losers and their 20 team leagues on wild.com. That place is sucking more by the hour.

It's not like you just get an alphabetical list with players on it. It is a very user-friendly interface. On the left side you've got the available players, on the right, you have your roster, with available slots and who you have.

Yahoo automatically has a ranked list, and if you simply chose who is at the top of the available list when it's your turn, you'll more than likely do fine. You could do that and get by.

When I got into hockey a few years ago, I basically stopped watching football. Until last year, when I joined this fantasy league on this board. I went in basically blind, looking at players that were good a few years ago when I watched all the time. Even so, I really only did bad because I took Peyton Manning in the first round. I didn't pay attention to who was injured.

This league is competetive, yes, but we are all friendly here. Tomorrow, during the draft, feel free to ask before whoever you take if the guy is injured. I am 99% sure that people here will help you.

Basically, you don't need to do a whole lot of research, you can succeed if you want to play, and I'd love to keep ya around. Can't wait to see you face palm when I beat you whenever we play

And to be completely honest I don't feel quite comfortable bringing in a guy who has ~20 posts and just joined this forum last month. I don't mean to offend, but I'd rather keep this league going with guys who have established themselves a bit on this board.

Honestly, I look at this like the first year in a league this board keeps going for a while. We can use this year as the basis for the draft next year and so on. I'd love to do something like that, if everyone is up for it. Not sure how keeper systems work, but that could be something we could look forward to as well, if people want.
Allright allright, I'm in for reals this time. I just have to log in early and make damned sure that the yahoo interface works as its supposed to in firefox the way I have it setup. Otherwise I might need to tweak some things or, god forbid, run internets exploder.

Probably won't be there for the draft as something came up today. My brother may draft for me, though. We shall see.

Should be within an hour of the draft. Not much time to acclimate. But its easy enough.

Obviously depends on the lockout, but last year we did one league of 14, I believe. Depending on interest, we could possibly run two leagues of 8-10 or so, I'd guess. At least with hockey we can bring in all the Euro guys on this board that don't care for football.

I just launched mine. You should be able to do yours now. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Well that was interesting. I have no idea how my team will do, and wtf I drafted someone with a broken collar bone? GG me.

Woops. Completely forgot about the draft. Been busy getting settled in at school. Oh well, my team doesn't look that bad.

I thought it was at 8PM. Autodraft did good for me, though. I think anyways.

Sorry to hear that guys. Hopefully you all are happy about your teams.

If not, feel free to make trades, if you'd like.

And this draft, moreso than my other 16-team league's draft, had the talent dry out fast. Wow. In my other league it seemed like there was still some pretty good players left in the 6, 7, 8, 9th round, even going into the teens there were still guys that can make big impacts.

With this one, it seemed by like the 6-7th round or so there was a huge drop off and all the really good players were gone. Good job guys, that draft was fun.

The team my brother drafted wasn't too bad, actually. A little thin but in a 16 team league, who's isn't. Starting roster:

QB- Flacco
RB- McCoy
RB- Law Firm
WR- B. Marshall
WR- Percy
WR- D. Jackson
TE- Tamme
FLEX- Redman
K- Prater
D- Minnesota

We were, but I just changed it to head-to-head last night. I thought it was supposed to be head-to-head, but if people want to go back to straight points I am completely fine with it. Let me know, everyone!

Head to head is way better imo. Gives the game a lot more flavor and meaning.
