playing MW3 with my friend. Lobby full of kids sounding like they're at least 8 or 9 and at most 12.

I'm a PC guy, but I do love my iPhone. I really wanted a smart phone that was easy to use without many problems, and it does that just fine. My next phone will most likely be a Droid though. My friend has the Galaxy S3 and it's amazing.

Do it. When I replaced my phone which was starting to get old with my iPhone, it felt like trading in my spatula for a sword.

Eh. I don't really like having a smartphone. I have one because they're so ubiquitous, but I don't particularly enjoy it.

Then again, I would happily live without a cell phone if it wouldn't make it impossible to socialize with ANYONE.

I'd kill for a smartphone. I'm a news junkie and its rather difficult to be updated on anything sports/U.S./or the world when the most advanced thing my phone can do is shut itself off without me touching it.

Not everyone feels the need to carry a sword around I didn't like them a while ago because it was just so... "here, have a smartphone, it's the way to go" but it's just good having a phone that can do what you need it to do when you need it. I will say this though, it becomes overwhelming on some days when I just want freaking clarity and to get away. I end up leaving my phone at home and taking a trip to a lake to get away from the constant social thoughts and checking of phone for updates, social feeds and stuff like that.

edit: I actually don't use my phone for too much aside from FB, twitter and email. All the other crap people put on their phone seem excessive and... unnecessary and "for its own sake" to me.

I re-read the "get to know your HF NYR brothers thread" today creepy
and I remember seeing that you're... a bit younger than my age right? I MAY BE WRONG. (I'm 20) I actually thoroughly enjoyed not having a smart phone until like a year ago. A "dumb phone" is humbling in ways... I see kids nowadays with ipads and freaggin' $1800 MacBooks and I just want to punch them out because they start feeling high and mighty OR they don't realize how spoiled they are so I guess your phone builds character

If I remember right.... you're... 17? haha I try and test my memory as much as possible. I play poker for a living. computers actually last well against time as long as its a well built desktop. If yours is not, then props to you.

And yes, ooooo! Look at me! I'm 20!

haha I am 17, almost 18 now. It chugs along and still works. So it's alright. Most of the original parts are in it. It crashed 3 times, so I guess it's a trooper. Gets it done

lol, The reason I joke about that is because my English teacher who is 24 to my 18 thinks that there is this massive generational gap between us.

He swears that he is the high and mighty man of wisdom.

I'd like to think those of us who are capable, or semi-capable of reasoning through a potentially bias loaded and ignorance packed sport are fairly intelligent or in the case of the semi-capable ones, semi-intelligent.

Your teacher is just jealous. Once you turn 20+, it's a different world from up here. I'm kidding... I did that to annoy you

It's weird thinking I'm 20. I'm as immature and ADHD as they come so I have and will continue to have a hard time getting used to the 20+ club.

The main reason I switched to smartphone after years of holding out was that I needed a new phone anyway, and if you don't purchase a data plan the free phone they give you is like technology from 1997.

I never take my phone with me if I go out in my own neighborhood.

I've been doing this since the start of the year. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

For the past two-months I leave my phone in my bedroom, I never have it with me when I'm walking around the house, and only take it with me if I'm going out.

I'd like my BlackBerry a lot more if I knew more people who had BlackBerrys because BBM is absolutely great. I have a lot of trouble with my phone though, some times it runs absolutely abysmal. I've got to get off BlackBerry with my next phone, but I am worried about leaving the physical keyboard behind, but I'm sure it's just something you have to get used to.

As of now I'll probably go for a phone that matches whatever kind of computer I have next year so I can sync everything. If I switch to Mac I'll get an iPhone, if I'm still on Windows I'll go for a Windows phone. But I'll also give a looooooong look to the Android software.

For me, I can travel to just about anywhere in Canada and it will still feel like less of a vacation compared to a 30 minute drive into Seattle

Yes.

My mom and my dad have been separated for about two years. It's been a struggle financially, and mentally, but things have gotten much better. My mom has had two long term boyfriends since. The first one, I'd rather not talk about. Nothing traumatizing, but just not a good time. Second one, awesome. I like him more than my birth father, quite honestly, who's a complete hardhead. My mom's current BF would go around the earth for us.

If you need advice, I can help.
