Prospect poll, 2012: #20

This is the final one I am going to do, for two reasons. #1: I am taking a holiday on friday and will be gone for a while, and #2: I don't really care who our #21 and on prospects actually are. However I do acknowledge that maybe some other people do, and they are free to continue it if they wish.

As far as #19 is concerned though, the big winner is:

Klas Dahlbeck

Is it just me or does he look like Pronger's long lost younger twin?

#1: Brandon Saad, LW (81.82%)
#2: Teuvo Teravainen, LW/C (59.62%)
#3: Mark McNeill, C (48.00%)
#4: Jeremy Morin, LW (36.84%)
#5: Dylan Olsen, D (40.74%)
#6: Phillip Danault, C (44.12%)
#7: Brandon Pirri, C (41.86%)
#8: Kyle Beach, LW (30.19%)
#9: Adam Clendening, D (43.75%)
#10: Stephen Johns, D (27.78%)
#11: Kevin Hayes, RW (50.00%)
#12: Jimmy Hayes, RW (55.17%)
#13: Ben Smith, RW/LW (28.57%)
#14: Chris Calnan, RW (22.58%)
#15: Dillon Fournier, D (26.32%)
#16: Brandon Whitney, G (36.36%)
#17: Justin Holl, D (42.86%)
#18: Maxim Shalunov, RW (23.33%)
#19: Klas Dahlbeck, D (27.27%)

Two days to vote. Get your guy into the top 20 before it is too late! Three gifs to end it all off.

Went Flick, still like him a lot as a potential 4th line C.

I went for Nick Mattson

I like to cheer for 6th-7th rounders, USHL players, and NCAA players. He happens to be all three.

He's also pretty good, which helps a lot.

From what I've read in the scouts progress reports and game analyses, Flick has a real shot to be an NHLer one day. Based on the teams needs especially, Flick could be in a Blackhawk uniform before many of the "prospects" people here like ahead of him. Some of these prospects will not get a sniff with the big club, but Flick should.

Yeah, if we ranked them in terms of most likely to play in the NHL, Flick would certainly be a lot higher.

It depends on the posters interpretation. Some people prefer the sure thing that likely tops out as a third line pivot. Others like the 50/50 chance of a kid with a lethal shot playing in the teams top six.

Normally I wouldn't be as excited about a future 4th line C, but it's the Hawks, and he figures to be a late career Madden type in my eyes.

Even late in Madden's career, he was an excellent PKer and still played above-average NHL defense. I don't see Flick coming close to that and it's not really his game.

Flick's closer to Colin Fraser than John Madden (at any point of his career). Personally, I'm good with that. I liked Fraser as a 4th liner.

AHL/NHL tweener at best
Career AHL'er at worst

This is probably accurate, but I would lead more towards 7th Dman than career AHLer.
