Anyone else get the sense that the Ryan Malone incident really bothered him?

I just hope they keep him on one side this year, it was brutal seeing him get switched back and forth from left to right side all the time and even switching from side to side during games.

Me.

I can't be vithere to double check but I think it also pretty much coincides with him being put on the right side. He's never been able to plaster people on the right side

To answer your real question: Don't pick him in your Yahoo! fantasy pool except if hits count.

He was a serviceable bottom pairing defenseman last season. He improved his positioning over the season and was starting to show some decent offensive upside. But like others have said he looked outright bad on the right side..

Potential solution might be to pair him on the left with Gorges on the right. Put Markov and Subban together and give them offensive assignments with Patchs-DD-Cole..

Definitely has top 4 potential anyways.

The entire Emelin/Malone incident.

Malone has been a rabid dog all year, I remember the game where he elbowed Campoli in the head.

What I liked most in this event, is that Subban was ready to jump on the ice to go and help Emelin. Or at least, that's what I gathered from the commentator's. He got reined in by a teammate.

I'm not saying he is, or isn;t a bad teammate, but the next game no one even approached Malone... Maybe the coach had said something, I don't know.

PK's a team player no doubt, but that probably wasn't the best idea for him to fight Malone. Malone's tough

Prust can take him next season.

Prust will fight him, but he loses that 9/10 times.

You do realize we're talking about Prust here right? Not Tom Kostopoulos.

I must have caught all of his good fights then because I spent some time watching videos of him on hockeyfights.com and he could handle himself against some really tough costumers.

I think his fight card would look a lot better if he picked his spots more. But he's fearless. Overall, he may not be the best, but he seems like a really good figther to me.

Malone doesn't win his fights most of the time either. Prust is a willing combatant and Malone rarely fights fighters.

When it comes to Emelin there is only upside, he stepped right in and looked good for the most part. He made rookie mistakes, no big deal. He had to adjust to a smaller ice surface and faster paced league than the KHL and he looked fine. I would like to see him show some offense in his game He could be paired with either Markov or Kaberle and be fine. Love seeing the crushing hits from him.

You mean the game Montreal beat up TB 5-2 and in which Emelin scored and Malone was a complete none factor?

The language thing was maybe his biggest obstacle. Communicating with teammates and the coaches should be better.

You're joking right? Malone is a big bag of puff. Prust is much smaller but would beat him like a bad stepchild.
