Moscow Dynamos GM is pretending like he doesn't want Ovechkin during the lockout, saying only if the coach says he wants him and he really has to persuade him.

In reality I think they think he will sign a contract in Traktor for cheap and they will just match it and get him for cheap.

The KHL will offer but Ovi won't go. He loves it too much here.

I guess it should be "Dynamo Moscow's," but obviously he wasn't saying the team name was the Moscow Dynamos; he just doesn't know how to use apostrophe's yet.

Apostrophes, says a foreigner.
Edited not to turn it into off-topic thread: Russian education, the best in the world.

Hey guys, wasnt sure where to post this but I'm in a first year keeper league, I'm looking for a sleeper, offensive defense man. My main question is, will Dmitry Orlov play all year with the big club? And will he get PP time? Thanks guys.

Probably a question for the stickied fantasy inquiry thread but no big deal. At best on the 2nd PP unit depending if Oates wants to roll with a Carlson/Green on the 1pp unit. Personally hope that is what happens. Maybe Hammer as the steady veteran on the 2nd pp unit also.

Oh my bad... But is he lock for the big team all year? (You can move this to fantasy hockey thread if you want)

Yes. 3rd pairing to start the year probably, but if he plays like he did last season I wouldn't be surprised to see him get moved up to 2nd pair minutes.

Leaf fan answering. I feel like Burke is trying to build a contender, but he NEEDS to make playoffs, make the 1st step so then they can gain experience or else they will get used to failure (8 years of it..) and Burke will lose his job.

I think Johnansson, Troy Brouwer, First Round Pick, + For Ryan.

Or

Michal Neuvirth, Marcus Johansson, First Round Pick ++ For Kessel

Personally i rather have Kessel but I highly doubt Toronto trades him.
Neuvirth+Carlson+1st or Backstrom. tbh

The Caps have been managed so poorly in the past few years that we don't have the pieces to acquire anything of note. Unless a team wants multiple firsts.

Have to disagree with that. Maybe Kuznetsov in that the russian factor inherently decreases the value.

Only BR is of interest to me but I think what it would take to trade him would mean, in some sense, the caps not looking beyond the Ovechkin era. IMHO feels like a little late for that so rather hoard the nuts for the post Ovechkin era barring some re-dedication from AO to wanting to be the best.

IMO I would think so. Made sense to let him watch the playoffs last year. He started probably showing the rookie fatigue as well as pressure late in the regular season. I'm a draftnik so I'm typically all about letting the rooks play to enhance dev but Orlov looked a little overwhelmed in the end and considering the caps playoff intent in the end it made sense.
