I would love Iggy, but for Iggy to wave his no trade i think he would want to go to a place he has the highest chance of winning a cup. Ottawa is not there yet.

I haven't seen much of your team the last number of years, does Smith play C? Is his upside a 3C? If so and he's a 3C that brings physicality and solid two way play I'd consider it.
You described Smith to a T, he is a legit 3rd line center that can forcheck really hard, fight, hit, kill penalties and chip in 10 to 15 goals. However with the loss of Konopka and Carkner in the offeseason the sens will need Smiths physical game. I could see a Smith for Hemsky deal happen if none of Silfverberg, Stone, Regin, Hoffman, DaCosta or Petersen grab and run with a role in the top 6. They have 1 potentially 2 pretty big hole's up there right now assuming Greening can build on his play from last year and be a legit 20 20 guy.

Sounds like a guy that we could use to help balance our forward group.

He'd be perfect for the oilers , he's everything there missing. Not to mention i think he has the odd chance of becoming a second line player.

Wouldn't trade Smith for a 2nd Round Pick, so yeah.

I don't know about that..

I don't think Zibby's going to amount to much though.. I think he would be easily expandable given our prospect depth at the forward position..

Definitely not. Why trade our entire prospect pool for a player that's going to walk in two years via UFA? I think Kessel walks from Toronto in two and goes back to the US.
That's going to make Burkies deal look even better isnt it? hahahaha

Sure Zibby is expandable but not for a 35 year old.

Ottawa doesn't really need a first line RW tbh we need good patience and defenseman. That RW should come out of our prospects.

Between Stone, Petersson, Noesen we should be able to fill that secondline RW.

First line is 9MM.

As much as we need Cowen, I would probably do that trade.

Of course you would. Landeskog is already Colorado's best player. I'd throw in Zbad without a doubt.
