Cam Atkinson tweeted the Kreider buzz cut pic. Last week,Atkinson raised money for a charity. Kreider was one of the players invited to sign autographs.

The buzz cut is a recent look.

Quote:
Kreider, who was Atkinson's teammate at BC, said he was drawn to helping out a good cause and a good friend.

"It's a great event and I am pretty close to a lot of guys here, especially Cam Atkinson and the Atkinson family," Kreider said. "It is important to me to come out."

Rangers fans eagerly looked forward to Kreider's joining the team late last year for the playoff run, for which the younger player provided a big spark.

Kreider said he's excited about the upcoming season, if there is one.

"There really isn't anything I am not looking forward to, and I just can't wait to play hockey and make the team this year," he said.

Malkin to the KHL if there's a lockout:

Quote:
Reports initially started to surface on Monday that suggested Malkin already agreed to play for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, his hometown team. Before he came to the NHL during the 2006-07 season Malkin spent three years playing for Magnitogorsk which was then part of the Russian Super League.

Malkin's agent, J.P. Barry, has since told Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he has had discussions with Magnitogorsk and unspecified teams in Moscow about a potential "week-to-week" contract that would allow Malkin to play in the event of an NHL work stoppage but that nothing has been finalized.

After finally watching more of the playoffs last year, I'd have much rather had the Devils win the cup.
Dustin Brown is embarrassing. Falls down on the lightest touch, and a lot of his hits, are with the forearm to the head, the same way Hags got suspended 3 games

Another long term contract for a young player to report!

Jordan Eberle, 6 years, $36 million!

These GMs are a joke. We need to reduce the players share! Then maybe stop throwing out ridiculous contracts? These GMs need to be saved from themselves.

76 points in 78 games. Almost PPG in his 2nd year. What do you think he was going to get?
Ofcourse, he still has an entry level year left.

He was spoonfed a lot of awfully easy minutes and his play dropped considerably when Hall wasn't there. He also doesn't take that many shots per game for his zone starts. It's unlikely to expect that kind of shot % in the future. I honestly think his number will drop next year, especially if he's not given as easy of a time as he was this year.

A smaller 2 year contract is what he should have gotten. Let him prove it wasn't a fluke. 1 good year is worth 6 years/36 million? This is why we're having a lockout.

GMs besides Sather don't seem to understand this concept. I guess he should give Del Zotto 5-6 million a year for 7 years.

Eberle contract = bad
Hall contract = steal

I was commenting more on the length of these contracts, not the numbers. The owners are the ones complaining about these long term contracts and that is all that is being given out this offseason. These GMs need to be saved from themselves.

BTW I would NOT give Eberle this contract at this point. I'd give him a two year deal to prove himself.
