Event was a fun fluff event. quick worth while notes remember this event doesn't have players going too hard it is for fun only :

Lasch played and has some wheels and some hands, but man is small, he was the second smallest person on the ice, next to s 16ish year old girl playing D with T-Bone. He is going to be an AHLer IMO

One great thing was they put Etem on a line with Selanne. Those two looked like they had some natural chemistry and played with each others speed.

Luca looked bigger and as strong as ever on his skates, he pushed pretty well, then again this is a fluff game and I think he was playing the hardest out of anyone out there

Nobody bought anything from the silent auction right?

Cause I think the jerseys were Chinese knockoffs.

I went. I watched. I bought. And so did a bunch of other people - Teemu's cased Jets jersey went for $500+, his game-worn jersey for this tourney went for ~$475. Parros' jersey went for about $300-400 from what I last saw. Next most expensive after that was Sbisa I think.

I know its for a good cause, but I wouldn't drop $400 bucks on a Parros or Sbisa charity game jersey when I can get an actual NHL game used jersey for about the same or only a little more. I've seen game used Ducks jerseys go for around $500-600.

Yeah, it's less like buying a jersey, and more like donating your money to charity, and getting a jersey for free.

Teemu's game-worn jersey went for $525. Etem's I think when for in the $200 range.

Someone I follow on twitter talked to Teemu and he says that it's pretty much a guarantee that the season wont start on time.

That's been pretty common knowledge for a while now. The question is how much time will they miss? I would think Bettman and co would be desperate to get a deal done in time for the winter classic but it looks like they could miss games well into January at this point.

I still think its gonna start on time. Maybe they'll miss training camp and pre-season...but I think every team will play 82 games.

Oh, nice. There was definitely some feverish bidding at the end.

I'm just saying that I personally wouldn't spend that much money on that charity game jersey, when I can support another charity and get a cooler jersey.

And most of those game used Ducks jersey sold by NHL.com or the Ducks go to support hockey fights cancer, so basically I can go support the same charity and get that cool jersey too.

They can't miss training camp and pre-season and still play 82 games. What they would do is take away games from the regular season and replace that time with training camp. You can't just go into the important games without warming up, plus you need training camp to get the new players accustomed to the system, plus you need to set up your rosters and decide who's going to play where, etc. Going straight into the regular season would be vastly retarded.

Sort of. What ended up happening was the Teemu jersey was around $310 then some guy put in a $450 bid and was hanging around at the table to make sure he would win. Someone afterwards put in a $475 bid and then he promptly put in a $525 bid.

Some people just really wanted the Selanne jersey.

Last year's went for $350ish I believe.

I can see what you're saying, but there's something different about winning an auction at the Fedorin Cup, instead of just buying one off of Shop.NHL.com.
