That's because last time the discussion was just eddying between 'no lack of effort' and '***** out of lack'

I hope hes R-eddy to step into a role if/when Luongo is dealt. If not, we will be lacking in backup goaltending depth.

I honestly cannot stress how impressed I am with Gillis being able to sign Lack and Tanev for nothing, great free prospects. Worth at least two 2nd or 3rd round picks.

They'll come around, they just aren't "R'Eddy" yet. At the end there won't be a "Lack" of "Punny" Puns

Although the contract negotiations proceeded at a lackadaisical pace, the end result was edifying.

Nice. A real creative way to get that deal done. Couldn't be a nicer deal than that for both sides.

Doubtful. Brochu was crapping the bed in the AHL still at Lack's age and was pretty terrible at every stage, Lack has excelled at every level. Brochu was an AHL level player that somehow got a cup of coffee in the NHL based on some decent AHL seasons in his mid to late 20s. Nothing like Eddie Lack at this point.

Nice deal, but the "lack" of the Luongo trade makes this irrelevant and "lacks" interest.

This has been a "Stork" reminder that Gillis and Gillman do one thing really well, and that's negotiate contracts.

interesting, he gets paid if there isn't a season .... maybe part of the reason why he signed a 2 way deal in the first year.

Sounds like mgmt has him on a Schneider-esque curve in terms of when he'll get a shot in the show.

Kevin Woodley said that with this contract that Lack knows he has to play in North America. He mentions a guy like Lindback doesn't know for sure because of the lockout.

That proves I'm an amateur at puns. I should stick to metaphors. I once posted nothing but metaphors in a Canucks GDT. Possibly my high water mark here.

this is ridiculous. our three goalies are collectively as big as the legion of doom line.

nice deal. good way to accomodate lou if need be while still promising lack he'll get his chance.

Don't really understand this Eddie Lack hype
He's good but not that great

Cory Schneider Stats in the AHL
84 Wins
45 Losses
5 Ties

Eddie Lack in the AHL
49 Wins
41 Losses
7 Ties

Granted he's Euro so there's more of an adjustment
The teams in front of them are different etc.

But his record at the A level does not jump out

How about his actual goaltending numbers:

Lack:

Sv%: .926
GAA: 2.28

Schneider:

Sv%: .921
GAA: 2.31

Unless you think it's Lack's fault that he's played behind the 20th and the 24th best offenses in the AHL.

Schneider had better teams and he was a more highly touted goalie. Look at each others save % than talk.
