Close but if miller played on the Canucks they could've beaten the Bruins

I take Luongo's 2011 season over Miller's 2010 Vezina season.

Olympic MVP? well he does have a silver medal after losing to Luongo when he gave up a weak goal to Crosby in OT.

I have yet to read an argument about why Miller is better.

How? Would Miller have posted 3 1-0 shutouts? Or does Ryan Miller have some goal scoring ability that I am not aware of?

Never mind that, if Miller is on the Canucks I doubt we even make it to the SCF.

Luongo had a poor game 6, yes. We know this. But while Luongo wasn't stealing us game 7, he didn't cost us either. Miller absolutely fell apart in his game 7 and IMO did not look good at all.

How is it baseless to suggest that Luongo wins a cup with better offensive support? That's laughable. If the Canucks show up offensively in game 7 of the SCF, the Canucks win the Cup. That's a fact. If they have a big game and score 4 goals (something Thomas had the luxury of when he needed it in his ECF...and he was the playoff MVP so this isn't an outlandish request) then it would have been a 4-3 final, win.
You didn't even watch Game 7 so don't talk like you did.

I agree Luongo is better than Miller, your arguments are terrible which is why I bother with this nonsense. You support Luongo with one thing and turn around and use the same exact thing to berate Miller, yet you do not realize you are doing this do you.

I think he's talking about the people saying "Miller AINEC" Obviously it's not Luongo "AINEC" either.

The Canucks scored 8 goals in 7 games.

Miller wouldn't have made a difference.

But if i had to chose. It's Miller rather easily.

Why?

All I see is "Miller easily" "Miller AINEC" "Miller Miller Miller"

Nothing Miller has done has suggested that he's better. So why?

Not weighing in but Luongo has never and will never win the the vezina now.

Never truly considered the best goalie in the NHL ever.

I think this poll is pretty fascinating. It would have to be an anomaly to have two guys so close together in votes for each one, but with so few saying they're actually pretty even. Makes me even more comfortable with that vote.

Miller still riding the coattails of his 2010 season? Nothing more than a slightly above-average career outside of that.

miller

because when luongo does well and people "lu" him it sounds like he's getting boo'd
clearly the guy who gets cheered is better than the guy who gets boo'd even when he's doing well

aince

A couple of years ago I would have voted for Miller but I think that Luongo has been the better goalie by a fair margin the past two years and Miller has declined noticeably. Whether last year was attributable to concussion issues I'm not sure but I'd now take Luongo between the two of them.

If Luongo was that good, the Canucks would be trading Schneider. It's not like Canucks are rebuilding, their time is now.

If Luongo was that good he doesn't get pulled against the Kings.

If Luongo was that good, teams would be lining up for his services.

We can extend that time if we keep Schneider. 7 years younger & similar skill level, why not keep him?

Because that was the last shake up the coach could make.

People think they can get Luongo for cheap, thats not what Gillis has in mind.
