Based on offers I already received, I'm looking to move Cory Schneider + Mason Raymond + Manny Malhotra for a 2nd line winger, 3rd line center, and backup goalie.

Seems a bit low to me man, especially for the first year when some teams have a lot of needs to address.

Because I think you're being a little hopeful to pull off that many trades.
Since just about everyone is trying to win and very few are willing to rebuild, you will have to trade good players to get good players, you cant just trade draft picks and prospects.
How many teams in the NHL have made more than 7 trades in a season?

Not a fan. I think if you (the commish) feel that a team is making too many unnecessary trades, constantly turning the lineup over, then I think you should cap that person's trades personally, just IMO. I don't think you should be allowed to trade for players, and instantaneously trade away the players u just acquired just to keep changing the lineup. If that makes any sense.
If a team has an obvious direction with their trades, and is obviously not trading just to trade, then I don't think there should be a limit. Then again, 7 is a good amount, but still.

Because I don't want teams flipping their rosters over and over. I don't want teams to look completely different. Seven trades is a damn lot of trades.

I really don't understand the backlash over a 7 trade limit. Heck, it's possible to turnover 75% of your NHL roster in with 7 trades. Also, when's the last time you saw an NHL team make 7 trades in a season, even if they are huge sellers at the trade deadline.
Something I just thought of while I was typing this. What if, on top of the 7 trade limit, you could make 2 trades including prospects, players, and other assets who have not played an NHL game?

Why can't they flip their rosters if two teams agree? It's a video game, the point is to have fun. If a GM finds it fun to trade his team from top to bottom, then you should let them. The point of being is a GM is to have complete control anyway. 7 trades is a lot, sure, but I just don't see a reason to put a cap on trading players, if you feel like a team is going way overboard, just ask.
