What's important to note is that the NHLPA's ridiculous incompetence has led to the deadline being so close. The league couldn't have even attempted to begin lying framework for a deal with the PA until about January of this year because the NHLPA has been one giant political cluster**** of ridiculous proportions since the last lockout. They've had several different heads, constant political infighting, repeated selection of completely incompetent and unqualified individuals, and have just been more or less a joke of an organization for years. Until they wised up and hired Fehr, they couldn't have even had a discussion with the league because they didn't have anyone who was smart enough to even pick up the phone to call the league offices, much less be able to start collectively bargaining.

Yeah, the NHLPA was stupid to bring this so close to the season. They bluffed and the league called their bluff. NHLPA was betting on the league not risking another lock-out.

If the NHLPA was smart, they would have tried to get ahead of these thing and been the party that was pushing the negotiations and controlling the negotiations. Owners then might give up a lot to get the security of starting the season on time.

Instead, Betman is just slow playing the players because they have no where to go.

All I know is from what I've heard from fellow fans, if there's a lockout, the fans will NOT forget it this time.

the fans won't forget, we didn't forget the last one, we wont forget this one, but we will still come back. i know my ass will be glued to the 2013-2014 NHL year with tears in my eyes.

bend me over a whiskey barrel and i'll still love the game too much to stay away.

Since we made such a big splash in this off season, I can't see a lockout hurting the Wild as much as it might other teams who had a tough off season.

It is tough for me to understand what it is like to live in AZ for example where the ONLY hockey they have is the yotes and maybe a junior team or two. To me it would be like if the Lynx had a lockout (probably not a good analogy but just saying)

We will all be back if there is a lockout. We just can't help ourselves.

At least there is other hockey to watch here without the NHL.

At least you guys can watch in person some sort of level whether it be youth or college. I, literally, have nothing to watch. Closest any level is 4 hours away in another state.

Does anyone know where to watch AHL games online? I'd like to at least watch the Aeros/IceCaps. With all the new guys on the team, I'm actually excited to watch Aeros games.

There's a season and individual game pass.

The other half was probably spent shoveling food into their faces.
