Tarasenko.

I'm not sure Rundblad will ever be anything more then a M-A Bergeron type PP specialist who is below average at even strength.

HF: 20 years old, never played in the NHL - one of, if not the best defenseman playing outside of the NHL. Amazing prospect.

21 years old, first year in North America, did not win the Calder trophy, playing 25 minutes a game, scoring 60 points, bust. I'll take the guy who has never played in the NHL AINEC.

Tarasenko is not the wrong choice by any stretch of the imagination, but Rundblad is being underrated. I don't know how good either will be in their prime, but these are still both two very good prospects.

Funny how it works. Basically, you're a god until you've showed not to be a god in the NHL...i guess?

He didn't have a disapointing season, he was 21 and a NA rookie. Scoring at a rate of .53 ppg (47 points/82 games) in the AHL is a very good season. Just because a guy started in the NHL and was hyped doesn't mean his season was a disapointment because he ended up in the AHL, 21 year olds usually don't play defense in the NHL. If it was disapointing it's only because peoples expectations were unrealistic. His +/- of -18 is a small concern but Portland was -31 and i would imagine Rundbald played top pairing minutes. Certainly he has work to do on his defensive game but thats easier to correct than teaching him how to be an offensive powerhouse. I voted Rundblad out of pity although i do think Tarasenko is slightly better, it's just probably going to end up closer than people think.
