I'd rather the Phillies sign Angel Pagan -- a better player, IMO -- for less than half the cost.
Agreed, Bourn has turned into a pretty good player but he strikes out a ton for a lead off hitter and I agree about Pagan.

I want Upton but I know he wouldn't be a good fit in our lineup.

How is it that a team that was going bankrupt can afford to get all these players?

And, for a one weekend at least, order was restored to the universe.

If they make a run, I'm going to poop. I called it like a month ago, kind of gave up a few weeks ago sans the glimmer I held...and now they're just screwing with us. This isn't funny anymore.

They'll go just far enough to be convinced their bullpen can hold up next year, and that Frandsen can start at 3b.

I'm fairly certain everyone knows their bullpen is crap.

Nuts is the key here. Crawford has been terrible the last 2 years (and hurt, but terrible when healthy), and Beckett got fat, lazy, and became a locker room cancer. Gonzalez of course was actively undermining his manager and miserable because Boston has fans who care...which is why going back to California will help him, because no one cares out there like northeast U.S. fans.

I just can't believe the Sox were able to ditch so many of their locker room and contract problems at once like that. Unreal. It almost doesn't matter what they got back.

And the Phils of course have to improve so that we get properly teased. At least Brown is getting playing time and doing well. That is encouraging.

If this team just had an average bullpen they might be a game or 2 out of the WC. Terrible.

You're in luck, I've been called up! They're hoping I can be their 8th inning guy.

Cole is sick so Cloyd is making his debut tonight. I think he is going to be another Kendrick just from seeing a few of his starts on TV this year.

Good Kendrick or bad Kendrick? Or the Kendrick that is sometimes good, and sometimes bad?

May have three tickets for sale for tonight's game in the Diamond Club Row 7. Each ticket has $30 in stored value.

I should know shortly.
