My thoughts exactly. Fontaine has shown he can keep up with our top prospects in camp and play well in Houston. He will only get better next year when his scoring role increases. How exactly is a OHL grinder better than him come on people.

Fontaine's stat sheet is impressive
NCAA: 158 games played, 62+102 at basically a ppg
AHL: First year 73 games played, 16+39 at .75 ppg

Graovac has Gilles type potential nothing more and most likely a lot less.

To play devil's advocate: you can say that Graovac has a safer track to the NHL as someone who tops off as a 2nd liner yet likely will be able to play as a bottom-six forward. Fontaine, meanwhile, is a guy whose size and skills limit him to be a top-six in the NHL and the jury is out on if that's possible in Minnesota. He was passed over by a lot of guys when injury Armageddon hit last season.
