OK I think Turris has put any doubts about his character in the rear-view with this one.

This is awesome. He's happy to be here and we're giving him a good role.

He's bulked up for sure (have you guys seen the video from a few years back in Phoenix when he met the team for the first time? he was really scrawny).

Heck, isn't that less than half of what Gomez makes, but for more production and upside?

He still has lots to prove, but he's taking the right steps to get there.

If Turris continues in his achievments, great sign, if not.... but I hope that yes.

Great extension, great deal for both sides. Love having him here for 5 additional years. This is also the first time I've ever been informed of a deal from a facebook post (Official Sens page)

Even if his offense doesn't progress it's a good deal.

3.5mil per for a 40-50 point shutdown center is 700k less than we were paying for Mike Fisher in a season with a lower cap.

Love this signing... and it eases my concerns of buying a Turris jersey that would have been obsolete shortly after.

I just got my Rundblad changed to a Turris. If he were dealt, I'd lose my ****.

I don't see a no-trade clause.

(Any no-trade clause would only be in effect for the last two years anyways seeing that those are the only two UFA years)

You could always change it to a Leschyshyn.

If Turris gets dealt, just change it to Lesyschen (spelling fail).

I never really minded Leschyshyn. Although, I think I would get a Cunneyworth jersey before him, now that I think about it.

Don't be silly. Turris will only get 80 points. Regin's good for 100 consistently.

Nope. Expectations for Regin have been tempered. 60-70 points is what we should see from him this year.

Hoping for 50 points from him this year.

He really started asserting himself and changing the tempo of the game with his speed in spurts throughout the season last year.

This is fail proof IMO. I think there's a realistic chance he's worth 5 mil by the end of the season.

Let me preface by saying I like this gamble.

That said, it is a gamble still. Turris has showed signs of being special but he's also looked unremarkable. If he turns out the way we hope, and his flashes become more regular, this is a laughing steal. As devil's advocate, we haven't seen enough of the kid to be sure of that yet. I'm cautiously optimistic, but maybe not as gung ho as most seem to be.
