If he'd had an abdominal injury last season I would consider this great news. A reason to hope for improvement in his play.

But this is just a bit of bad news. Unless the season starts very late indeed, he's likely not in for a good one.

We needed a top six winger before this news. Maybe this pushes Marc bergevin to go out and get if the CBA gets resolved this year. What do you think the asking price on bobby ryan is?

Kostitsyn could be a good option but I don't think that the Habs are looking to go long term with him even though it's totally different with MB at the helm.

We could actually sign him again and trade him before the end of the season to get a 1st or 2nd round pick .

I'm up to give a chance to Galchenyuk but Gallagher has to be tested before him since he's higher in the prospect chart list. I wouldn't mind to see Leblanc; he has the drive and can score breakaway goals which is awesome =).

My dream is to see Gionta-Desharnais-Gallagher, the smallest trio ever iced in NHL history.

The amount of hate this guy gets for playing half a season on a last place team under a lame-duck coach is ridiculous.

Are you surprised with the type of fans this team has? These are the same fans that booed Price after 1 period of the first pre-season game and who are now licking his balls.

The big problem is that all the scoring depth is on the right side. Even Bourque is probably better as a RW but was going to be used on the left. Palushaj is the only guy I'd think would be a good candidate to switch to the left.

Don't consider switching Cole, he's far less effective on the left side.

Galchenyuk is a LW if he plays on the wing, a strong camp from him looks like the most promising temporary fix.

It's not like he was great before last year.

Actually he is a very productive winger and a good depth player.

Seriously are you surprised as Andy said ? We have the WORST fans in hockey, and most just pretend to be knowledgeable to sneak in hockey conversations.

I'm ready to give another chance... but I don't blame the fans that hate him. Bourque showed absolute 0 interest and pleasure playing here. I know the team was terrible when he came but still. He already have a bad rep in Calgary, I don't see why our fans should be cheering for him especially with the way he played for us last season.

Like I said, I'm ready to give him another chance but if he is still unhappy to play here, there's no chance that we will get the Bourque that can score 27 goals.

It was a Gauthier desperation trade. And as such, a lot of people, myself included, are not happy with who the fired idiot brought here instead of Cammy.

I hope Bourque plays above or hell, at his potential when he is healthy again. All we saw from him last year was his floater ability.

This statement makes absolutely no sense. Why on earth would any fan 'hate' a player on their team.

Hf boards, bipolar fans, Montreal Canadiens fans ''emotion'' and ''passion'' about the game, inferiority complex...
