Kaberle : Worth it?

Guys,

Here's an offer I would consider in my keeper league :

I give : Hoffman - 2nd round pick 2013 (even numbers...could be a mid 3rd round pick in NHL)

I get : Kaberle - 4th round pick 2013

In my league, here's me D :

Green - Markov
Letang - Spurgeon
Eminger-Sulzer

Others : Trouba, Larsen...

What do you think?

Depends on how good your team is. Your post isn't a great indication of your team and your league.

If you feel Kaberle can help you win this coming year I'd go for it, and even if you don't like your chances Kaberle looks to be a big time upgrade over both Eminger and Sulzer; so I guess do the trade unless your in a rebuild phase.

Kaberle is aging and won't produce anything over 30pts in my opinion.

Everyone and their mom knows Kaberle isn't a number1 defenseman anymore, but I really believe he'll bounce back this year. He has a rough year after winning the cup and coming to camp out of shape. He changed teams 3 times in a year.

I think this year he'll be more focused, will know what's expected of him better in Montreal, and should have a good year as #3-#4.

PS he still had a good points/game ratio...

That's all he needs to do, though to be a major upgrade over both Eminger and Sulzer.

So if a extra 15+ points on the back end can help you out this season, it's a deal worth making.
