Donald Fehr said the Union intends to respond to the owners' proposal from yesterday with counter that could come as early as tomorrow.

Fehr on why owners MAY want to redefine HRR ,'before you divide up the pie, need to remove some of what is included in the pie' #TSN
Aaron Ward @aaronward_nhl
Fehr, 'our sources and structure of revenue sharing are quite different' #TSN
So is everybody just ignoring the elephant in the room or what? I guarantee it's the turd franchises like Phoenix, Dallas, and the Islanders pushing hard for a lower cap with no salary rollbacks just to avoid having to go over the floor. When are the other owners just going to come out say it that the league needs to contract or send some of the teams north of the border to more prominent hockey markets? I would be more than happy seeing 10+ teams in Canadian markets if it meant the league not having to support failed sun belt teams. It's almost mind boggling with how league revenue has grown in the past ten years to propose that low of a cap, especially with no rollbacks.
They can push all they want.. If there's a majority vote for a proposal and the majority wins, they have to deal with it.
Kish, I had a chance to see both press conferences, they are on nhl.com
gary bettman still sounds like he normally does, a pile of crap.
however Fehr's conference, was more insightful.
the highlight was he stated, that he is getting the club by club info tonight at some time reguarding the HRR.
so he will finally be able to see and make a make the needed modifications prior to submitting there counter proposal which i hope is tomorrow, he said at worst friday.
Fehr really broke it all down and did a nice job explaning.
I think a deal is going to happen, but it will be next week.

that is my overall gut.
Bettman got flustered by the question about the sense of entitlement..
I've said for the past few years that the problem with bettman when he talks is that his speeches are impersonal and come off like they are lectures.. He refuses to make eye contact and rushes through everything too quickly..
Both sides look like they are not getting much sleep
Fehr usually gives better interviews since he goes more into the details than bettman does, which a lot of people like. And he is a better public speaker overall..
I'm hoping we hear their counter proposal tomorrow afternoon
What is it that's hovering around in the upper left hand corner of every room Bettman is in that he has to constantly stare at it?
It means he is lying. Watch the movie called THE NEGOITATOR sam jackson kevin spacey. sam actually describes how lying works, gary pretty much emulates that description.
