Thanks for the breakdown. I guess I was more referring to his NHL cap hit, as it's the one which effects the Canucks cap abilities. His salary goes up, but his cap hit goes down from $900K to $750K. How the heck did that work?
In addition to the other reply, another consideration is that when he signed his first deal Lack was an undrafted prospect that could sign anywhere. Now he's an RFA. It's like how Archibald, Stefan Schneider, Bill Sweatt, etc all got big, bonus-heavy ELCs.
