I sort of figured Dynamo wouldnt sign him. Just because he is their alumni doesnt mean anything. If you remember after the 2004/05 lockout Avangard Omsk had an agreement for him to spend a season there is the lockout continued to the 05/06 season.
I'm almost certain tho, that another big name club will pick him up for just 3 mil
3 mill for the whole season? it's fair...if he plays less - prorated...Dinamo has money now, why not?
Dynamo has gone cheap it seems and gone away from the stars as they believe they can win with a team concept instead of individuals. If you look at their roster Anisin is really only the flashy player they have. It worked last year but Komarov loss will hurt.
to sum up, he is against "putting money to black hole". According to him, it is better to spend the money (ovechkin salary) for developing kids hockey instead of signing Ovie. I agree with this attitude. I like it.

Well yeah its fair, and I guess Dynamo would be the first choice, but its also reasonable that he doesn't have to.
Dynamo has some changed philosophy now with the new president and the MVD merge where they're not really blowing cash(even tho they have it).
Plus I'm not so sure OV would click well with Znarok.
It would be more realistic imho for clubs like salavat, ak-bars, cska, avangard, ska, maybe even traktor(interesting to see him and kuznetsov), hell even donbass to chase OV for bigger money than Dynamo.
I'm not sure if they have his rights, but Dynamo could probably make some crazy cash selling his rights to the highest bidder, or get some decent prospects.

It seems you don't know who and what Mr.Rotenberg is. You really miss the target here. Rotenberg is singign a song written for him. The last thing he cares about is kid's hockey.

Pretty much nobody has anybody's rights as Medvedev called all pre-KHL contracts/rights to be not valid for the signing in case of an NHl lockout.
But it seems OV wanted to play for Dynamo. Even his mother called the Dynamo office after remarks by Safronov earlier similar to the Rotenberg statement.
It looks like he will play for another team now and I do think it will hurt Dynamo in the long run. I mean Ovechkin played loyal to his 'home team' and they denied him. I'd be pissed if I were Ovechkin.

Atlant has an interesting goalie situation. Do they stick with Davydov and Galimov which is dangerous, sign a new foreigner goalie, or hope a lockout NHL player comes in?
Kitsyn traded to Torpedo interesting but predictable. He hasn't panned out much and Torpedo doesn't have too many players in the system for under limit...btw the rule is changed again, caught Bragin by surprise, if u ask me - it's stupid.
hello khl fans, i am looking for any signing info on anton klementy(i)ev, havent seen him listed on any teams (khl or otherwise) as of yet, and he is a fairly good young defensman, what is the latest word?

no, that's not true, Loko gave Slovan permission to have Janus on a try out.
But it's a completely flawed system. Janus was more than likely going to be one of Slovan's netminders for the coming season along with Hostikka. At Loko he'll just be the third goalie when Sanford is back.
It's for another thread, but this KHL rights system is the most stupid rule in any hockey league in my opinion. Especially as they don't run out until 29!
Also, Janus said in an interview with Slovan's site last week that Lokomotiv had agreed he could play elsewhere for this season, but now they go back on their word.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Janus is a hockey player, not a lawyer. I doubt he knows the situation precisely. It's more likely that Slovan and Lokomotiv made some kind of temporary deal (it was still just a try-out) with a possibility for Lokomotiv to do what they did.
