Will Weber ever win a Norris

He has been close twice. Plays in a hockey market with zero voters watching him nightly. Suter is gone.

No unless he's traded he'll never be considered elite by enough voters that never see him play.

I think if he has another great season without Suter it could be enough for him to win depending on who he's up against.

If the Preds manage to stay good defensively and Weber can keep his level then i say yes. He will just look better without Suter and get more credit. But its a mystery how much Suter made Weber better, next season will tell alot.

I think so.

He's going to be good for quite some time and he already has a lot of writers who have voted for him over the past two seasons.

He has a lot of career left and he's already well-liked.

He has a good a chance as anyone in the mix at this point, maybe better, because of the "career achievement' quality that will only get stronger with every season.

He definitely should have beat Lidstrom two seasons ago. Whether he should have beat Karlsson is a toss-up. Obviously I'm glad my favourite player won, but they were both deserving of the trophy. I think he has as good a chance as anyone but who knows, there is a LOT of defensive talent in the league.

I think his window closed for a while losing Suter.

I'd imagine so. Weber is among the best in the league at his position, if not the best, so it's just a matter of time IMO.

Yes. If he played on one of the big market teams he already would have.

He will win it when he doesn't deserve it. He definitely should have won it in 2011. It was closer last year and I would have given it to Chara but wouldn't have complained if Weber won it.

He will in it next year if he has the same type of year unless someone does something spectacular.

He's like Lundqvist. He'll have his time.
