Another EDM poll! Fantastic. Easily RNH + Hall.

RNH and Eberle have really good chemistry. So out of the combo it's those two, however put all three together and they are amazing. Hall really drives the defense back with his speed and leaves RNH and Eberle with a lot more time to make there plays. They work wonderfully together.

But why worry about a 1,2 punch when we have a 1,2,3,4 punch

PeterForsberg troll status on the rise.

I don't understand how any of these options are "easily", Especially since you don't have Eberle in your choice, the only one of them who has put together a good full season.

Right now: RNH Eberle
Future: Likely RNH Hall with an outside chance of RNH Yakupov

Eberle and RNH have great chemistry on plays, if Eberle were used to RNH's passes early on the season they both could've gotten alot more points.

With Hall I feel that he drives his own offense, I've seen Eberle and RNH set up Hall for some pretty easy goals where as you won't see it the other way around. With RNH and Eberle is could go either way.

Not saying he isn't at "troll status", but how many of these "rank the oilers big 4", taylor vs tyler, ect. do we need?

It wasn't even an Oilers fan who made the thread.

Was scared for a minute. Thought sit was gonna be Gretzky/Kurri vs. current players or something mind numbingly stupid like that.

I'd say Eberle/RNH. Best mix of skill and smarts.

Hall complements RNH and Eberle VERY well. The team looks almost like a playoff bound team when he's playing with them... but RNH and Eberle have an amount of hockey sense that's just incalculable. The only duo which beats them at this is the Sedins, who've convinced me that some humans are telepathic.

If Hall ends up putting on 10-12 pounds going through the Biosteel program before training camp starts, it's going to be a lot different. He'll win a lot more fights for pucks and I'll probably end up laying the smack down and creating a lot more space for the others. In the end we'll be waiting a year or two to talk about which is the best trio of the great four.

Great time to be an Oil fan.

They actually rarely played together. Eberle and RNH spent almost the entire season together but Hall was all over the line up. Take into consideration that RNH and Hall both missed about 20 games and were injured at different times, it didn't really leave a lot of time for them all to be on the same line. They probably only played 20-35 games together.

As for the poll. I take RNH and Eberle because of their chemistry. Hall creates his own offense and doesn't really need to be on their line to produce at about the same pace as the other two. Hall actually didn't break out until he was taken off their line.

Hall, Eberle and RNH all started out ppg through 15~ games on the same line, so Im pretty sure a big chunk of his points came from playing with them at the beginning and end of his season..

Though I think he was on a ridiculous goal scoring streak mid season~ where he was playing on the 2nd line with Hemsky, and got back with Eberle once RNH was injured.

EDIT: Of the youngsters Eberle and Hall scored the same % of points without eachother or RNH, Eberle had 30/76 points that didn't include the other 2 and Hall had 21/53 that didn't. Pretty surprising stat IMO.

RNH only had 3 of his 52 points that didn't include either Hall or Eberle, however this is expected as he spent all his healthy games with at least one of them on his line.

They weren't playing at a ppg to start the season. None of them really got going until they were separated 18 games into the season.

Hall had 3 goals and 11 points in the first 17 games of the season. He was on a 8 game goalless slump when he was taken off the line. He then had the hat trick against Chicago and finished with 24 goals and 42 points in the final 43 games. That's about a 45 goal/80 point pace until his season ended. At the same time, RNH(while playing on a different line) had a 5 point game that same night against the Hawks.

He did play with Gagner and Eberle while RNH was injured and there were times when they were reunited for small stretches here and there but for the most part, all three spent little time together. Like I said before, there was probably only 40-something games where the Oilers even had all of them in the line up at the same time.

First 17 games(when they were all together)
Hall: 3 goals and 11 points
Eberle: 3 goals and 13 points
RNH: 7 goals and 14 points

Next 20 games(without Hall on the line)
Hall: 11 goals and 20 points
Eberle: 12 goals and 28 points
RNH: 5 goals and 21 points
