Is the guy in Newlook commercials a relative to Pierre Houde? He looks and sounds the same.

Yeah, I don't like Glen Healy either. I just plain don't like Ferraro and Healy.

Bob Cole, well, I feel bad for Bob Cole. He's gone way past his best before date and makes way too many mistakes now. He's having a hard time keeping up. Nothing personal though. His voice still screams HNIC to me.

About the schedule, I hope the TSN Habs schedule is as full as last season. I get RDS so it's not a huge deal, but English is my first language so the more in English, the better I guess.

RDS or bust.

Screw CBC. Cole doesn't know the blue-line from the red-line and their picture is grainy. TSN has Ferraro, which is an anomaly in itself to bring in someone to broadcast a sport they have no idea about. Pierre Houde is one of the best in the business.

**** that.

Pierre Houde is the only good thing on RDS. The rest are as bad if not worse than the CBC clowns.

I know.. but Bob Cole is a legend. I do like the CBC casts, it's the Boston hype that bother me, but heh! It's Hockey and Hockey is modern Day Gladiator War!..

I remember hearing that TSN-Habs will cover up to 35 games..

Pierre Houde is great. He's for one lucid (unlike Cole) and his commentary is completely without bias. Seriously. This season...or maybe next year...notice if he is Jack Edwardsing or not. He's seriously very fair and balanced and I find his commentary entertaining along with Marc Denis. His tir et le but alone makes him the winner.

Ferraro sucks in content, his voice is irritating and he "McGuires" a lot putting in all his personal beliefs and perspectives that are completely unfounded.

Bob Cole may have that voice, but he has no idea what is going on. I've heard people say he's a Habs fan ( I thought he was all out leafs), but watching Habs-Leafs, the only thing worse than him is Glen Healy (by far the worst thing in sports).

I find him like that in every game - but maybe he just hates every team I follow.

Besides Houde (whom I've always loved) my favorite play by play guy is Chris Cuthbert. He doesn't get many Habs games any more, though.

I kind of like Ferraro. He's strongly opinionated, and even if I don't always agree with him (in fact, I often disagree), I like that.

And he's not a complete d-bag, that helps...

i actually like my hockey in french. and even on the radio, dany dube is awesome on 98.5. you have to describe where and how things are playing out for the audience who aren't watching. lot of detail. i'd like to see him on tv one day.

Pierre Houde just has this love for the business. A love not only for hockey, but putting on that headset every night and calling the games. I watched a special on him, just talking about his experience and how he made it. There is this sparkle in his eyes, like that sparkle Marc Bergevin had in an interview before becoming the Habs GM. It's really special and it's a real treat for any hockey fan to listen to him.

For that reason, and that reason alone, I will always watch RDS. I hate Francois Gagnon, I loathe Benoit Brunet, and for the life of me, I cannot stand 99% of the rest of them. For Houde, RDS is the way to go regardless of all the other hacks.

meh, I can see with my eyes what is happening on the ice. So even if Cole screws up alot, I'm fine with it.

Its his tone that fills me with excitement and nostalgia. Cole also has a good sense of when to ramp things up, although he has lost a touch of that with age.

I will be a bit sad the day Cole finally retires.
