I take my time to do a little view of what the Team russia of each year will look at forward position. You can comment or tell me your opinion (it would be nice because it take a lot of my night time):

I would add Yakimov to the 1994 group. I don't think Kabanov belongs in 1992, but I'm not sure who would take his place, maybe even Lyubimov would look better there.
No doubt that the 1991 Group is the best one (not just because of age). 1990 is probably the weakest, although Filatov and Grachev were good at the time. Also, I think Trunev is better than some on the 1990.

Ah yes, I missed Yakimov- sorry. Not that many players come to mind right away, I have some depth charts on my other computer, but I can't remember all of them now.
Damir Zhafiarov -94, is playing with KHL team in preseason and is doing good. I think he's another one to watch.

I think you have done an excellent job of capturing the best of those years. i agree with the few edits that Fulcrum has made, but for the most part, you've got it all here.
I would rank the birth years in the following manner:
1. 1991
2. 1993
3. 1992
4. 1994
5. 1990
Obviously, many of these years are so close in quality to the others that it is just a matter of making a guess.

I agree with Fulcrum that Trunev belongs in the 1990 group. In the 1994 group, I thought Kuptsov played really well in the U18 World Championships in April.
I think Yaroslav Alshevsky will have good (maybe great) season 12/13. He was 2nd in pts in last VHL regular season. This summer scored many goals/assists in pre-games of Neftekhimik.
Avangard sent G Shilin (91) and D Dmitry Kozlov (90) to VHL club - Kurgan.

I was not sure with Trunev if I overrated him because I like him a lot ! Thanks for the info !! It's after these 12 player by years that I have some difficulties to rank them ...
Are you able to class some of the others ? Like top 5 by years that I mentionned after ?

I thought Shilin played poorly in the World Junior Cup.
Wonder why Tryamkin didn't garnish any attention for the WJC team? Admittedly I havent seen him play, but I cant imagine he could be any worse than Vasilevski and at 6'6" 220lbs. thats impressive, wow.

because now it's difficult to be worse than Vasilevski?
late 94 Pedan (brother to Andrei) recently transferred to USHL and committed to NCAA for next season. IMO big step for him, was wondering why he didnt follow his brother to the OHL, now the move makes sense.
