Just a quick 10 minutes. Talked a lot about the union and CBA, he says the feeling is a lot different than the last lockout. The information that the union gives out is great. Hasn't talked to or met any of his new team mates. Talked about playing in europe. Didn't say much about the game itself.

Very positive, sorry about the confusion. All elite players are signed compared to last time. Last lockout the union was saying 6-24 months. A lot of the players had European contracts signed as well. Completely different feel.

He also stated he will stay in Winnipeg due to his kids regardless of the lockout situation. Has been training for months, is in good shape.

“It’s nice. Really nice. People are very nice here,” said the veteran following his 60-minute workout at MTS Iceplex. “It’s overwhelming how nice the people are here. The city, it’s great. It’s small — a little bit smaller than Calgary, but like I said, it’s great and easy to get around.”

There's a great video of him on the TSN Winnipeg sidebar after his first skate at the iceplex. Seems like a genuinely nice guy that wants to work really hard. Can't wait to see this guy skate with the Jets.

Great news, everyone. Jokinen was practising his one-timers yesterday. We'll have someone else who can one-time a shot, hopefully this time from the side of the net instead of the point.

Yup that's one big positive to adding Jokinen. I actually can't think of any of our forwards that consistently do one-timers, especially on the PP. It's always one-timers from the blue line and crash the net, or wrist shots up close.
