Could be? Sure. But our top end talent is iffy, IMO.
The closest thing we have to a bluechip is Smith, who is 23, and, IMO, has enough holes in his game to make me question whether he's going to be a legit top 2 defenseman.
I think Nyquist is also top 6 material. But I'm not 100 percent sold on that just yet.
