Warm day today. Perhaps a bit too warm when wearing those heavy polyester uniforms, but it was all worth it once we started running out of those tunnels. The crowd went nuts when we made the "XII" at the end of pregame.
And a really good turnout by the student section for a noon start against Marsha.
Gave up some 'meh' touchdowns near the end of the game, but winning by 30+ points is always nice. A solid beatdown to sting Marshall's memory of this series for the next few years.

I saw a few plays in your game on tv today, it looked like men vs boys, WVU completely outclassed Marshall.
Now that Penn State has a new coaching regime, maybe they will now agree to play WVU again. Paterno declined every attempt by WVU to start a new series.
Speaking of Penn St, I thoroughly enjoyed their loss today.

Yea except for some defensive problems (expected with a new system and a loss of depth), it was basically over before halftime. The first real test for the D is gonna be Maryland, and they have basically all of September to try and get it ready for the first Big 12 game against Baylor, unless we expect the offense to score 50+ a game, which while nice to think about, probably won't be a regular occurence.
Penn St. would be an interesting series to start up again, but the general consensus among WVU fans is to get the Backyard Brawl with Pitt going again or Virginia Tech (though Frank Beamer and their AD will never agree to play WVU as long as they're there).
