Does anyone know which of Tinordi, Beaulieu and Ellis has spent the most time on his off (right) side? I've seen Ellis in that spot most often in lineup projections in this thread, but I'm not sure if that's because of junior experience on the right, or if it's because he's the least hyped of the three? Also, I'm assuming that Nash will stay on the left because he has always played that side, and formed an effective pair with St-Denis, but maybe I'm wrong?

I think it's more due to the fact that Morgan Ellis is right-handed so (it should) be easier for him to play on that side than Tinordi and Beaulieu.

Well, right you are. I'd been looking at too many depth charts without actually having the opportunity to watch him play.

One thing i like about this upcoming season for the Dogs is that here is a lot of guys who will either play their first season or have a lot to prove. We'll have a way better idea of how our prospect pool looks. Guys like Quailer, Bournival, Ellis, Tinordi, Beaulieu and Pateryn have a lot to prove and guys Schultz, Geoffrion, Dumont, Avtsyn, Niatinnen and Palushaj are either on the verge of being call-us/NHLers or leave the Habs (In some cases).

Then there is the Leblanc and Gallagher who are sure shots and should be first call-up.

This Dog team will not only be very competitive but very enlightening for us Habs fans.

The Bulldogs as the Hamilton team is named most assuredly was fate taking a hand for this year's version of the Habs farm team. The teams in the AHL may be eating their words by the last month of the season, worse yet they will probably be eating crow when the last buzzer rings the end of the playoffs,IMHO.

If there's no NHL, I'd probably be in as well to chip in for the Dogs stream.

I think teammate Ryan Spooner congratulating him for the invite on twitter is good enough.

If there is no NHL season this year...could it be possible that RDS broadcast Hamilton Bulldogs games instead?

I would like to see our prospects in action instead of listening to some games on the internet radio.

Possibly. Would be great to see it and not on an internet feed because my bell net is terrible.

Ellis actually plays the right side. Plus he's a right handed shot, so he an obvious shoe in at that side.

Out of Tinordi and Beaulieu I'd say Beaulieu would have a better fighting chance on his off-side because hes a more dynamic skater so he would adapt to it easier. Both are natural left d's though.

Beaulieu did play a lot on the right side before the Sea Dogs traded for Roussel, his eventual partner.

Really hope they do it... but then, they didn't do it during the 2004-2005 lockout.

Maybe TVA Sport?...

I thought I read somewhere that Sportsnet would televise Saturday night AHL games if there was a lockout. They would probably show a lot of the Marlies vs Hamilton games.

That way, veteran players of the AHL, with 2 way contract, are going to have the right to play for their farm team.

They won't have to be put on re-entry waivers if they are call back 3 days before the start of the season.
Not a surprise, but I guess there shouldn't be a problem sending St-Denis, Palushaj, Blunden, Nash and Desjardins to Hamilton.

No, RDS did show Bulldogs games in 2004-05. It was only during games Sportsnet was already showing though.

Emailed RDS, asking that exact question, just to be sure... no answer after 2 days, well, patience is the key, I guess...
