I thought about it before, but I believe RD was one of the most stacked positions on the HF team.. Plus was looking at making my own team with a good team name..
From one of these 5 :
The Hip Czechs
Vanek At The Disco
The Peter North Stars
Dateline Predators
The Dekes of Hazard
Since my nhl 12 team told me I wont be on the NHL 13 roster and they are taking the name I suggested, which was Just The Tip
Game is a mix of 1.6 and Source with better graphics and a few tweaks.
Biggest downfall is that they didn't really upgrade the integrity of the game. Wallhackers are still out there, some more blatant than others. I was excited for competitive play, but seeing as how the game is weeks old I'm kind of like... meh... what's the point.
I hate console shooters, but I've gotta admit; at least they're more secure.
I just noticed Tekken Tag Tournament 2 comes out next Tuesday... ******* I don't want to spend money but I want it... and NHL 13 and GW2 will take up so much of my time.
New MGS...agh. It better come out soon and on PS3, but I bet it's going to be next gen. I'm not sure I want to get a PS4 yet, I've been thinking of switching to Microsoft.
I've been playing ME2 recently. Fun game. I'm playing through one more time as a jerk.

Per-ordered mine last month from amazon cause you get release date delivery, a $15 promotion credit and no tax. Then I find out they started charging tax this month. No big deal it's just annoying that the streets/schools in and around my area (the things i really care about) won't see a single cent of any of the money the state will be making off amazon.
So I've had NHL 13 for a day and I hate it. Tried some sort of keeper-roster setup which took hours on my GM Connected league, which I had pitched to my league back in May, and it failed miserably. We've resorted to Regular rosters. Tried a couple of the remaking history challenges, and failed at them all 3 times. Then I finally played a couple normal games in regular Be A GM, losing 1-0 to the computer on Pro, and then losing 3-0 (before shutting my system off and launching my controller across the room) to a preseason roster. Still on Pro. I usually put up double digit goals against Pro level AIs.

I guess it can only get better from here..........right?
This sounds like me trying to Be A Pro goalie in NHL 12. I realized it was utterly hopeless when I created a guy with all 99s, and still got sniped to pieces by AHL players. "Oh, is that a hole exactly the size of the puck? Yes, it is. Please watch while I and all my teammates take turns threading shots through it."
It's ridiculous that online goalie in that game is far easier than offline.
Picked up my copy of NHL 13 on the way home from work. So far I am pleased with many of the gameplay improvements especially on the defensive side. The skating is going to take some getting used to, but you start to get the hang of it after a few games and I feel it adds another level of challenge and complexity that utimately make the game better.
We started our EASHL team last night "Lockout with our Cockout" and proceeded to go on a losing streak.
Not a fan of the lower abilities of starting out EASHL players.. 45 overall ish is terrible and my guy is constantly out of position due to him randomly gliding and not being able to get to a space in time

That's basically ECHL level. How does levelling up work? Being that low will make it pretty damn hard to score goals and get grades, especially as a Dman...assuming it works like NHL12
Wow, that's absolutely trash. I likely won't be getting this game for another month or so, so it's nice to know I'm going to be incredibly far behind the curve. I might not bother.
I was having more fun the first few nights of NHL13.
Now, it's just this stupid poke-check fest. Guys just play an aggressive three-man forecheck, and you can't pass, skate, shoot, or ice it through them.
What am I missing? Do you need to shield it all the time--or just keep the puck opposite your body?
It's pretty frustrating. Most of the games are fairly even, but a few of these guys have gotten awful good at exploiting what's a pretty obvious slider issue pretty quick.
