I'm wondering about that scaffolding near the top right of this pic. There's a similar one on the opposite side. Wouldn't be the start of the bridges, would it?

I noticed, I've been trying everything to get around that. However, you can click the interior view to get a look at what its like yesterday. Most of the seats in the upper bowl have already been installed.

Doesn't look like they painted the concrete where the seats are going to be installed, only the stairs. However, they painted the concrete where the seats are in the lower bowl.
It's probably got something to do with the use of precast concrete for the upper bowl and cast in place concrete for the lower bowl. Maybe its not only a paint but a sealer.

I have no construction knowledge, but aesthetically, I would think they would want it to look consistent. Either way, you won't be able to tell with all the seats put in. At least they painted the stairs, so that will all match throughout.
I hope the Earthcam gets unstuck from the 25th so we can skip ahead and really see the progress.
Wow, that is a much different angle than before. I didn't think the viewing angle could be changed so much in a renovation. Impressive.

I really wished the renovations had allowed for row 1 to be on ice level. That's another 5-10ft closer to the action for everyone in the building.
They couldn't change the lower level structurally. It would have been a much different arena if they were able to, which is unfortunate, because I hear the legroom down there is still awful and the sight lines still aren't great.

I can attest to that. Legroom awful. Sightline no better. Prices higher.

For basketball the sight lines are pretty good though as there are no side boards. Everything is done with the NBA in mind first then hockey I suppose.
those hand rails may be temporary. i sat in the already completed section on the end of the arena in what will be the upper bowl next year and those were glass and there were tv's right below the glass. but im only speculating. hand rails are a think of the past now, no?

no the ones in front of the 1st row of seats in the upper level. sat in what replaced the 300's on the end of the arena this past season and theres glass
Its embarrasing how they release these videos that show progress a month behind where it actually is. I love that im sitting in the blue seats and all, but they need to get rid of that cement wall for glass in the front so there is no obstruction behind the net for us.
