Does anybody else pay attention to PHT religiously like I do?
I don't know what it is, but I check that site more than any other. Some folks don't like the whole aggregate-site thing but, Twitter aside, it's the best way to find out pretty much any news from around the league. Plus, the bloggers regularly respond to comments!
Granted most of these are a bit older, but it still shows that teams are rightfully reluctant to pick Russians/Eastern Europeans high in the first round...
Not that busts are really that hard to find, but when you frequently see them on these lists, it stands out.
Edmonton just signed Jordan Eberle to a 6 year, $36M extension.
I find this interesting because they just recently signed Hall to a 7 year, $42M deal after comments about Taylor being the team's future captain, etc.

Maybe they realized they need someone who will actually play in games.
that means in the postponed hypothetical preseason game he may or may not have participated in one of our tryout people couldn't spend the whole time on the ice trying to lay him out.
so in my native land they are making rink in an amphitheater to play two hockey games. how badass would that be for a winter classic, assuming we had amphitheaters in America or Canada.

AHHHHHH Edmonton what the hell is wrong with you? That's even worse than the Hall extension. Do they not realize the difference between RFA and UFA?

At least with Hall's they bought three UFA years on the deal. With Eberle they're only getting two. If they genuinely expect their salary in those years to be in the $10MM range, they are booking a lot of the cap hit in years where RNH, Yakupov, and at least one of their defensemen are on ELCs so maybe it'll work out for them. Still, I'm not a fan of those deals.
Seems like he got paid exactly right for his stats in Ottawa. If he gets lazy and his production falls off its a bad contract. If he fulfills his potential and plays better then it'll be a nice deal.
Pretty savage-like playing right there. Such a cheap hit from Ben-Amor. I don't like this at all. Not good rivalry.
Official authority will look into Ben-Amor's case.
