Subban vs Markov

Let's say both play 82 games next year, who will have more points?

Markov, he's pretty good when he's healthy.

If they both play 82 games completely healthy, Markov will have more points for sure.

Markov from a strictly offensive standpoint; Subban if you add their respective defense. Subban is the Habs' #1 penalty killer now...

I'd say it's Gorges.

Subban did step up his shorthanded game, though. Plus Subban was put on Gorges' PK line at some time during the season... Not that I expect Markov to play top-line penalty kill as Subban would.

Subban's probably the #1 on Montreal, but he's not the #1 PKer or PPer. Gorges and Markov take those respectively.

To answer the OP's question, Markov easily. Subban's great, but Markov could put up 50+ if he's healthy the whole year.

If Markov can find a way to play all 82 games, than I would think he'd rack up more points than Subban, while elevating Subban to career high totals.

If Markov came back and was exactly the same player he was about 5 years ago it would be Markov,I'm not even a little bit convinced that is going to happen so I voted Subban.

I think Markov will still be pretty good, but Subban will have more offence to his game.

Boston fan chimming in. I said Markov because i believe he is(was) 1 of the top 5 powerplay defenseman when healthy. It's a thing of beauty watchng him on the powerplay weave into the offensive zone and set up shop.If this guy is healthy all year Montreal could be sniffing a playoff spot.

I feel dirty praising a Hab but.

I would love a healthy Markov on the Bruins
