Lashoff once again.

Maybe he'll finally win this time. Add one of Brooks Macek/James de Haas/Phillipe Hudon.

yeah. I thought that's the way they started the polls, so I just tried to do it exactly the same way

Macek is not a Red Wings prospect anymore, he didn't get a contract.

Add Trevor Parkes.

Went with Paterson again. Shouldn't he automatically go a head of Athanasiou seeing as how Detroit drafted him first and there hasn't been any hockey played since then? Quine is a good choice here too.

Went with Quine. I find him pretty interesting and like to compare with Ryan Spooner who he was traded for in the OHL.

Wings don't have the greatest track record when picking goalies.

Relax. You're too uptight.

I don't really care. Was just curious who else was voting for the same guy as me.

I don't need names to vote strategically

Went with Callahan once again. I think with his agitating style he is realtively close to getting a cup of coffee - we do not have anybody else like that in the System.

Add: I'd like to see Bodin. Somehow I feel he will skyrocket this year with a good J20-Season. Or add de Haas.

Quine projection from RWC: Quine’s skating and skill level make him an interesting prospect, but he’s still learning how to be a complete player. He has the assets to be a useful NHL player, although the jury is still out on where he could one day fit into a big-league lineup. Either way, he’s coming off a strong season and could emerge as a top-10 or -20 scorer in the OHL in 2012-13.

Athanasiou Projection from RWC; Athanasiou slid from a potential top 15 pick a year before the 2012 draft all the way to the 110th spot, where the Red Wings drafted him. Although they’re not sure what he’ll be, they’re almost certain he’ll be an NHLer. They hope he’ll have a breakout year in the OHL in 2012-13 with London and prove he has learned his lesson from being a healthy scratch late in his draft year.

Like Wuest, I believe Athanasiou has Quine beat both ways: 1) More likely to be an NHLer with his skillset and 2) More likely to be an impact player with his skillset

So A2 is losing to Quine, and you are mad about this, and are trying to talk Quine down? This is what I am gathering here.

Yeah, that's pretty much why I've been going with Callahan. we have a few guys who skate pretty well and could become solid every day players, we don't have many guys like Callahan.

And? It's a fair argument to make. A2 the Second (as opposed to Almquist's A2 the First) does appear to have a better tool box than Quine, comparable wheels, and a higher upside.

You will probably be right in the long run, but I thought it was appropriate to recognize Quine's meaningful year-over-year improvement (given that he also has some legit skill and feet). I like A2 a lot and I think next season he could have Quine in is rear view mirror. Until then, however, I am going to give the nod to Quine.

Man do we have depth in this organization.

Mad?
Not even close.
Just trying to make the case for A2 over AQ
