Also, here are (from what I can gather) the NHL teams who currently don't have an ECHL affiliate:

• Buffalo
• Colorado
• NY Islanders
• Toronto

Remember Colorado announced a deal with the Denver Cutthroats of the CHL so their affilliation at this level is covered.

I'd say a couple diff teams. I know Lagace played in Greenville two years ago when they didn't have an affiliate. Probably a player by player decision if they don't line up an affiliate.

Very excited about the ECHL this season, prosperous franchises being added.

But things are not looking good for CHL, I could see them fold within the next few years.
