This is another crappy card an injury or two away from a fight night card.

Belfort is going to get beat like a dog in this one.

Wont last much more than a minute imo.

Meh. It's not complete **** like some other cards. I'm excited to hopefully see Benavidez knock out Mighty Mouse, Stann/Bisping should be great, and I'm a huge fan of Jimy Hettes so it's nice to finally see him back. Oh and it goes without saying I'd love to see Jones get KO'd

It has 5 main card fights that I'm interested in seeing - something that isn't a sure thing nowadays. I'm not disappointed. The ordinary state of this card speaks volumes about how big of a turd UFC 151 was though, talent-wise.

I dont know.

Grant vs Dunham interests me.

Not much else though.

Benavidez vs Johnson should be decent, but tbh Im tiring of the small fries. The pitty pat shots, and the fact they go to decision more often than not.........meh.

Bisping Stann ccould be ok. Oliviera I like. Why is Matt Hamil fighting again? Both him and the Janitor should be relaxing by the pool instead of fighting in the octagon.

Dont really care for any of the rest of it.

And even the fights Im a little interested in, seem like squash matches for the most part.

Maybe you missed Joe B's first fight but he knocked out Uri****ani. These light weight guys really ****ing go at it. Yeah they might not always have knockouts but this IS the Ultimate FIGHTING Championship not the Ultimate Knockout Championship. The light weight guys always come to fight. But yeah the Janitor/Hammill fight has zero interest to me. Other than that it should be a good card.

I'm interested in seeing what Hamill looks like after looking terrible in his last few fights. Hoping he looks more like the guy that (should've) beat Bisping than the guy that was terrified to fight Rampage.

Benevidez has had a ton of really boring fights dating back to his WEC days. That was an awesome KO, but that was definitely an exception.
Johnson has had some kind of boring ones too.

Why not, I'll weigh in.

Main Card (PPV)
Jon Jones (c) vs Vitor Belfort

Oh yeah, going controversial. I wouldn't be surprised to see Belfort replicate what he did to Wanderlei in their first meeting, and just rushing in using his speed. The one advantage Vitor will have is in his hand speed - with his distinct reach disadvantage, he has to throw two punches before Jones gets a counter off, and he'll have to close the gap. I have a feeling he'll do it though.

Joseph Benavidez vs Demetrious Johnson

I love watching Mighty Mouse fight, and I actually like this fight as the co-main event. I've never been a big Benavidez fan, and Johnson is exciting. I'm gonna call a decision.

Michael Bisping vs Brian Stann

I think this will be the closest fight on the card, bar none... wouldn't be surprised to see Stann win. That said, Bisping has only been knocked out once, and that was by Dan Henderson (no shame in that) in one of the most epic knockouts in memory. On top of that, Bisping's striking is much more technically sound, while his submission defence is great. I see Bisping taking a UD.

Matt Hamill vs Vladimir Matyushenko

Matyushenko is even older now. Hamill isn't as old. I've liked Hamill, but he has looked pretty bad in past fights. That said, he'll be reinvigorated, and will be able to outpoint Matyushenko or even knock him out - I still remember him leaving Mark Munoz a crumpled heap with a head kick.

Cub Swanson vs Charles Oliveira

Olivieira will be a beast at 145. I like Swanson, but I think this kid is the future of the featherweight divison and is going to make his point.

Preliminary Card (FX)
Croatia Igor Pokrajac vs Vinny Magalh„es
TJ Grant vs Evan Dunham
Sean Pierson vs Lance Benoist
Jimy Hettes vs Marcus Brimage

Preliminary Card (Facebook)
Seth Baczynski vs Simeon Thoresen
Mitch Gagnon vs Walel Watson
Kyle Noke vs Charlie Brenneman

It's so hard to predict any fight with Vitor. When he's on his game he can beat any fighter in the world.

This event must be more interesting than I first thought, because my main event picks would almost be the complete opposite of yours. I do agree about Oliviera. I agree with the Bisping pick too, but I don't think the fight will be that close at all, after watching Sonnen/Stann and Bisping/Sonnen. I think Bisping will stuff takedowns and control most of the offense.

As for the other three, I'm picking the opposite. I'm not so sure about the Janitor... his best days are certainly behind him, but he's no slouch. Hamill will definitely have some ring rust, and who knows where he's at mentally.

Benevidez/Johnson is a tossup too in my eyes, and will almost certainly be a decision as you guys have said. But I like Benevidez in this one.

As for the main event, I don't see how Belfort can win this fight. Jones seems too smart and well disciplined to get himself into trouble. I don't think Jones will finish Belfort in as devastating fashion as Silva did, but I don't see this one going the distance.

Personally think it's a very solid looking card, much better than the last few if I'm remembering how the last few looked on paper.

This and the Brazil card have shaped up to be some of the best cards in quite some time IMO.

As for the main event I don't give Vitor almost no chance to beat Jones, but I would very much enjoy seeing it happen, but again I don't think it's the way it happens. Most likely Jones by stoppage before the Championship Rounds.

Interesting card.... I went with "my picks". The guys I want to win. Seeing as how I've been dead in the water since the "pick 'em" standings begun anyway.

Some random comments... C'mon Hulk Hollet... His dad just passed away this summer - former Canadian Middleweight Boxing Champ Ralph Hollet... who was a great figure in boxing and martial arts around the Halifax area for years. And with TJ Grant there are two local fighters on this card for me. ... It's too bad that he has to face Dunham who is also one of my favourite fighters... Also hope Gagnon can get a win this time ... he is a game and exciting fighter. Great CanCon on this card.

Such a difficult fight for Hollett. I can't see him winning this.

I'm glad to see Hamill back in the octagon. His losses are only against absolute top of the heap fighters (Franklin, Rampage, Bisping, Gustafsson). He has some very impressive wins too (Munoz, Boetch, Ortiz).

I think the biggest thing about Hamill being back is it introduces another reasonably viable storyline for Jones as a title challenger. There aren't many left at LHW. If Hamill can string some wins together while Jones fights Belfort/Henderson/Gustafsson (and Sonnen if he can win some fights), it will give Jones a chance to avenge his "loss".

Hamill would have to look extremely impressive in a decent number of fights to get a shot against Jones, regardless of the fact that Hamill holds a "win" over Jones. Jones dominated the Hamill fight. The UFC wouldn't book that fight, unless the division was absolutely cleared out and then some, as a last minute replacement, or if some way some how Hamill started beating the top guys in the division.

I like Hamill, glad to see him come back for another fight, hope he wins.
