This is really what the lockout is for. To let Bettman rig it again.

Paul Martin and a year's supply of fresh eggs.

A top three of Portland players, specifically first rounders, would be cool to see no matter how unlikely.

We also get every pick in the draft. We can then draft some really good players in the last round and call them "steals", and rave about how our scouts are the best in the game.

Finish that with Keegan Iverson in 2014 and Caleb Jones in2015.

On a more realistic note, which pick do you see us getting and with that, who do we take? Just curious what you guys think.

Pens will almost certainly be picking between 20-30 with or without a season. Not knowing how the 2013 junior and European seasons will shape up...who knows? Mario's buddies with Tie Domi, so I'll go with Max Domi for now.

But I'm serious about Iverson in 2014. Guy's only 16 but already an absolute monster at 6'0, 215 lbs.

I was watching the 2012 draft live and was so happy that Forsberg fell to 8 and we can now pick him. I even texted my friend that Pittsburgh is getting Forsberg... Next thing I know...The Pittsburgh Penguins are proud to select Derrick Pouliot! lol I am in no way dissapointed with the pick but I honestly thought we had a chance to get a true top line winger for Crosby. But then again you never know...There are things that GMs know that the public doesn't and there is probably a good reason why so many teams passed on him.
Anyway, Max Domi would be an awesome 1st round pick. I also like Barkov but he's going to picked in the top 10, maybe even top 5 it seems.

Plain and simple: Seth Jones is the best Dman prospect I have ever seen at his age. He is more impressive than Doughty, Pieterangelo, Erik Johnson, Jack Johnson, Larsson, Hedman, anyone in this last draft, and anyone drafted in a long, long, time.

I think he can have a Pronger "in his prime" or Lidstrom type of impact and win multiple Norris trophies. He has the ability to control the game in so many different ways given his size, skill, poise, innate sense, etc.

Yeah, I think he'll be able to control a game like Pronger and Chara, less the nastiness.

With all of Portland's roster changes, look for him to have a big role this season (paired with Pouliot).

You'd eat said laid eggs from him? I don't think even the players would want to eat those types of eggs.

The Penguins drafting a forward in the first round?
