Too many were probably watching the Cowboys/Giants, but they missed a hell of a speech by Clinton.

Politics aside, that man knows how to deliver them. Clearly, calmly, and with conviction. Plus, he's got the magic thumb

Job interviews never get any easier. Especially the full-time, yearly salary, "Holy ****, this could change my life" kind of job interviews.

When the question is based around a hypothetical failure of yours, how the heck are you supposed to turn that question around to make a positive? Scratch that, I know how you're supposed to do it. Actually doing it without tripping over yourself is another story all together.

Nothing like sitting through a physics lecture while your incompetent professor spends an hour and fifteen minutes trying to explain how to derive two equations instead of showing examples of how to use them. Yeah, that method works -- just look at the 6% of the class that got the quiz clicker question right in class today for a statistical approach to just how well it works.

After that, what comes next? Oh, of course: walking back from Riddick all the way to Valentine Commons in the pouring down rain.

That lightning got pretty crazy. Very close to my dorm, and glad my roommate and I decided not to eat in a dining hall today.

And yes, I hate it when they show the derivation instead of showing how you use it. I understand it's important to know where it comes from, but the formula is pointless if you have no clue when/how to use it.

By pure coincidence, my Joe Vasicek Lokomotiv jersey arrived today, on the one year anniversary.

The Jaguars *WILL* beat the Vikings on Sunday. I'm also feeling somewhat comfortable that 'Bama will beat Western Kentucky.

That awkward moment when you use the phrase "let's be reality" in a real life situation and everyone looks at you like you're an idiot...

Uh oh, maybe I shouldn't be as comfortable as I thought

Also, as I'm sure most of you know, Savannah State screw my point spread ticket last week when I took them +67.5 against Oklahoma St.

Well, this week they're +70.5 at FSU. Should I even touch that?

Oregon State will flat out beat Wisconsin. Book it. Reser Stadium is where top 25 teams go to die.

No, I wouldn't touch that one with a 20 foot pole.

And I kindof agree. Wiscy doesn't look anywhere near as dangerous as they should without Crist doing the the play calling for them on offense. Very vulnerable. I would say MSU and Nebraska (both of whom I regard as kindof mediocre this year) are the Big 10 favorites this year.

So apparently a house in my neighborhood got stuck by lightning and consequently burned down yesterday. This is concerning because the fire department is about a mile away. But what has been brought to our attention is that we don't have any fire hydrants in our neighborhood. Why it took this to happen, I have no idea. As a result, the fire trucks had to transport the water from 2 miles away and bring it over to their house which of course is at the end of a dead end. My parents said the firetrucks were working 5 hours nonstop and still weren't able to save any part of the house. This has given me a different perspective on the possibility for destruction that comes with a "simple" thunderstorm.
