Vukovic has not improved. He's stalled. Crepeau has a bit to learn but is quite promising if the trend continues.

Yeah I remember this article, he put a list of top 5 players at the academy, but I was surprised to see players as old as 23 yrs old.

IMO the impact academy should have players as young as 8 yrs old. And they should take them at least once a year to europe to get educated about the game and play against players from the same age over there.

Jason deVos ‏@jasondevos
Canada XI - Hirschfeld; Hainault, Edgar, McKenna, Jazic; Johnson, deGuzman, Hutchinson; DeRosario, Occean, Jackson. 4-3-3 Very attacking!

Woulden't a 4-3-1-2 be better suited with De Ro behind Occean and Simeon?

No Bernier, eww :p

Bernier is much more suited than deGuzman... but Bernier is a slow starter so it might be best to have him as a sub in a big game like this.

Why no names on the jerseys?

Bernier in to start the second half.

Daguzman and Edgar are freacking terrible, and why the heck isn't Occean with IMFC? I love Di Vaio, but man having the best local player as the striker would be insane! As yeah yeah I know, he's under contract until the end of next season, it's just wishfull thinking..

Absolutely no reason for Occean to come. He's playing in the bundesliga.

Bad game from Canada. They're not able to control the pace of the game.

I know, but saying there's no reason is an exageration too. Occean would probably make Robbie Keane money while playing in his backyard ad possibly as popular in Montreal as any Habs player...

Btw, I just read an article on mls.com about how "fantastic" Di Vaio is on set pieces. I personnally can't stand his corner kicks, the ball doesn't curve enough for my liking.

I don't want Occean as a DP...

We need to draft 2 midfielders...

And we could use a 3rd solid striker...

Nate Jaqua would be awesome..

With proper scouting, we can find better players for midfield in Southern/Central America (Or Europe), who are younger, technically sound & have profesional experience. Most of these players in the Draft are already 21-22 years old & just played College Soccer, the good ones play with the States in the U21 Level, but you won't get them past the 5th Overall pick. Look at Felipe, hes 21 and has had tons of pro experience and is technically superior compared to the squad.

Anybody know how can I find free agents from MLS at season end? I'd like to see if there are names that would interest us to sign. Also, I'd like to see what montreal players could leave as free agents.

It really isn't like in the NHL. Would be smarter to trade two seconds + allocation $$ for a player if the right deal comes up. IF the Two Firsts can crack the TOP 5, Then go for it, asides that, not worth it. If your gona pick high, make sure you get a Generation Adidas player

So we're better of with our 2 low firsts ?

Depends on what Houston do, or MTL Do. Looking like both mid draft picks. Allocation Money + Two Firsts can get you a Top Pick if you find a team in financial difficulty or that has a surplus of salary that needs to get lowered with Alloc. $$
