Yeah. Would have been nice had the thing gone down by 10$ each day. But w/e. It's EA.

What's really dumb is that if your Ps3 HDD dies your offline accomplishments (unlocking +3,+5..) is not saved by EA (I don't expect them to save user data but at least the unlocking of the boosts). My PS3 HDD crashed in June and my earliest backup was January 2012 so I had to restart from superstar 3 luckily enough I was able to just play
a couple drop-ins and my grade went from B+ to A- and went right back to Legend 3.
However the boosts weren't there , only a few +1 and a couple +3 due to my offline be a pro being mostly erased I just ended up buying a couple +5 and it made my life easier.

We are slaves to it , I don't play any other franchise I replaced my PS3 in June after the HDD crash (my blu-ray laser was acting up as well and I was getting tired of opening it up and cleaning it) , so in the end I just bought a used 160gb ps3(slim) for 100$ on kijiji works great now. However I also have to replace my remote at least once a year and it's starting to get expensive just for 1 game but what can I do I love hockey and I'm hooked to console gaming.

I also don't understand why EBgames can't do a midnight launch in Quebec , is it against the law in Qc or a french issue somehow...?
I know it's just half a day but still it would be cool especially when they have them in 7 places 6 of which are Canadian NHL teams and the one left off is...you guest it and Toronto has two.

Club Videotron in the Plateau got the rights to host the launch, as they have the past several years now. Last year, Gorges came by to sign autographs, take pictures and hand out the exclusive Habs cover insert. The year before, there was a tournament and the winner walked away with a free copy of the game.
Just wondering... you can buy the pre-order of NHL 13 in the playstation store now. Is it a wise choice to buy it and keep it downloaded in the system, or should I wait until the 11th to buy the disc? I don't mind not having the disc at all and the money I have saved for the game can go to buying some network cards.

There are laws here against it. Mystery as to why videotron is allowed to get around it. but then again, maybe not..

I asked my brother (lawyer) he said Quebec has a law for media sales in which you have to offer "rental services" to be able to be open passed regular business hours.
However EBgames will open at 8 AM on launch day.
