Can anybody help me with a math equation? It's really simple, I'm just completely stupid when it comes to even basic math:
Car A gets 35 MPG average, with fuel cost of $4.15 per gallon
Ca B gets 25 MPG average, with fuel cost of $3.90 per gallon
When driven 1,000 miles a month, how much money in fuel costs does car A save you?

If my drunken math is right, car a costs $118.57per month. B costs $156 month. Car A is $37.43 month cheaper.
The formula is price/mpg to get cost per mile x 1000 for total cost per month.

Thanks.
It's funny, that looks like a completely made up math question for a 7th grade math test, but I actually really needed then answer for that IRL.

I was recently comparing carpet pricing. I realized knowing how to figure out the square footage of an irregular shape was something I would need to know how to do.

I'm confused why the fuel prices would be different.

Regular and premium. Or, possibly diesel?

Hey - we're all friends here, and I know this isn't a music forum, but I figured I could just throw this out there on the OT page:
I self-released an album today. I'll say two words about it and leave a link if anyone's interested: lyrically-driven folk rock, rooted in storytelling, politics, mythology. Pulls from a few genres, a cup of sugar out of blues and rap.
stickscalliope.com ;
stickscalliope.bandcamp.com ;
facebook.com/stickscalliope
If anybody wants to listen, great. If anybody has feedback, even better. Thanks.

I got the same thing but did total mileage divided by MPG to get the total number of gallons of fuel, then multiplied that by the fuel cost. Same answer.

Is the weather ok in Buffalo right now? Just rain, right? I was planning on having a party tonight but the weather forecast is like "YOU ALL GONNA DIE 70 MPH WIND OMG" Checking the weather map it just looks like a lotta rain though.

It's raining really damn hard and the trees are definitely bending right now. I'm a mile east of the air port.

We have had a couple of intense downpours and it's a little breezy at times. One just passed and I'm heading out the door to run.

That blast hit Caz Park just before 10am, just as our wave in the Finn McCool started.
It. Was. Awesome.
