Andrei Loktionov for similar valued young winger

LA is loaded at center with Kopitar, Richards and Carter locked up longterm. Lokti is a potential number 2 center, good vision, skilled/ crafty but a bit small. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to play well on the wing. He's never going to overtake any of the afore mentioned players in LA, but could prosper elsewhere.
I'd be after a similar aged / skilled winger perhaps stuck behind depth on your team.

Whose available?

Dallas has plenty of young up and coming wingers, several of them who could/should be NHL ready.

Any interest in Glennie?

No but he seems to have similar offense to Loktionov and can kill penalties

actually, Glennie for Loktionov seems like it'd benefit both teams

Uhh no. Glennie was an awful pick. We're not going to help a division rival get out of it and give up our best prospect to do so.

No. Loktionov has much, much better offense than Kaspars. The problem is Lokti has never been given a chance in a role where he will thrive. He can't play wing and he's not really the most ideal bottom 6 center. Kid has hands and great vision and is very good defensively. His only problem right now is he is VERY weak. Oscar Moller could knock him off the puck

I would throw you Tomas Tatar for him, not sure how excited other Wings fans would be about that, but I believe in Loktionov.

Loktionov has indeed great hands/vision and wont get the chance to play center, his position.

Like has been said, he's a soft/weak on the puck, can't play wing and he's definitely not great ?? defensively (right now).

I like Lotionov but I think some are over valueing how good of an NHLER her will

for me I am not sold on him being a top 6 player or 1 or 2 center man on a team

You seem to be having a massive case of "I like this prospect a lot so I value him way more than I should" syndrome.

He hasn't really proven much, if anything, at the NHL level. I mean 14pts in 59 games isn't screaming "omg, totally see the 2nd line potential."

This isn't some highly touted 1st or 2nd round pick, he was a 5th round flier that the Kings took and he's done fairly well at the AHL level but he's undersized and hasn't proven much in the NHL. His value might be higher to the kings than it is around the NHL. At 5'10" if he's not built like Crosby, he's not going to do well at the NHL level, at best he might end up being a Euro Kyle Wellwood if he doesn't pack on some muscle.

If Loktionov can get stronger and convert to wing, he's someone the Kings don't need to move anymore because of a log jam at a position.

He's our best prospect. He's got a pretty good two way game. 14 points in 59 games for a reason. The only top 6 minutes he's ever seen was on LW and he has always played center. I'm high on him for a reason. He's got loads of potential and one of our only true offensive threats in a prospect. But I know what he is - weak and unproven. Notice I said we'd have to add to Connolly. Yeah he was a 5th rounder but Slava Voynov was a 2nd rounder in the same year when the whole Russian scare did push both back later than they could have potentially gone otherwise. But c'mon lets be real. Size isn't as huge in the NHL. Guys like Nathan Gerbe can crack it in this league. Height isn't holding Lokti back - muscle is. He definitely isn't ready physically for the NHL but that's something that a good offseason of training can really help at. He does have the potential to be a 2nd line center and had we not traded for Mike Richards, I expected him to win that job over Brayden Schenn. But then Richards was brought in and we still had Stoll. Lokti got called up and sent down a bunch, had some injuries, but even in a limited NHL role, he showed flashes of that potential.

I like Loktionov, and I would like to have him on the Leafs, but a there's a few thing that would make his value not that high(won't get another top prospects) IMO.

-He's already 22 (it's very young but for a prospect it's not that young)
-Very small and weak on his skates
-Not a good fit for the bottom 6 in the NHL
-Not a good fit at wings

He does have good very good offense and top 6 center potential, but these thing make that he's not a safe bet to reach it.

From the Leafs I would trade Greg McKegg+Connor Brown for him, but I don't think the Kings would do it.
