Tiger 3 over after 8 holes today. Vijay still playing well at -15. Rory 2 behind. Lefty making a run. Leaderboard is packed. Tomorrow will be interesting.

Phil's putting has improved so much since he switched to the claw grip. He could be a force at the Ryder Cup.

All I can say is tomorrow will be fun. If you are 3 or more back you will have to go real low.

McIlroy birdies 18 to get to 15-under. Tiger 3 back of Vijay to start tomorrow. He can make that up but he has got to drive the ball a lot better than he has the past two days. Also has got to take advantage of the par-5 holes and give himself a couple of decent eagle opportunities.

I think Westwood, D. Johnson, McIlroy or Woods takes it tomorrow.

Lefty gets it.

Certainly a possibility. It will be interesting to see if he can put together another low round.

The thing with Phil though he is one bad decision away from a big number on a hole. Love that he takes chances but sometimes you just have to scratch your head and say WTF.

True. It is exciting when Phil lets loose and plays aggressive but this week he has been really good with not taking the unnecessary risk of making a big number and taking what the course is giving him. I've been impressed with his accuracy off the tee and his short-mid irons + wedges. I'm not sure what the stats are but tee to green he has to be up there at the top. Biggest improvement has to be putting though - some bad short misses over the past few months have really derailed some of his rounds but his switch to the claw grip has seemed to reinvigorate that part of his game.

Pin locations should be interesting today. Did Crooked Stick get dumped on again last night?

I understand that they want the big names playing in the Tour Championship so they don't simply eliminate the highest scores from each FEDex playoff event i.e the highest 40 scores from this week would be gone, but why don't they make the final event a free for all, whoever wins the tourney wins the Fedex Cup? Seems to me that this would be a lot more exciting and make this week's tourney more exciting too.

Still think McIlroy will win today and become first back-to-back winner on tour since Tiger. He really hasn't played well other than the first day, and he's still managed to put up decent scores the other two. Unless he completely burns out, I think he'll be at the top.

Still, been a crazy year seeing Vijay and Ernie playing well, and now Phil after having a pretty terrible year since the Masters. Would be cool to see a playoff between someone of the heavyweights.

I agree. Doesn't make sense that guys like Mahan, Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson will be at East Lake when they've mostly played like crap the past 2 months and the first three playoff events.

Another weekend of ****** play from Tiger Woods. Thought he got over that hump last week at the Deutsche Bank.

Not taking advantage of the par-5's though. 9, 11, 15 are all birdies waiting to be had.

Rory is playing unbelievably right now. Just bothers me that Tiger is giving shots away to the field repeatedly on short par-5's. I am tough on him though.. probably should let off of the guy from time to time.

McIlroy is in a world of his own right now. Love the way he plays the game. You wouldn't know if he is playing well or not as he keeps the same temperment.

Lefty has left the house.

Phil has went downhill very quickly the past three years. To put it in perspective, Tiger has won as many tournaments this year as Phil has the past three years

But Phil has a major in that time and we all know Tiger would trade in those wins for that 1 major.

McIlroy does it again.

Would Phil trade his 4 majors in for Tiger's 14?

^ Will be interesting to see what the next few years brings for sure. Between Tiger & Rory, there may not be enough (majors) left for the rest of the field....

Anybody planning on watching today?

I am, I can't wait for the weekend, do you think any of the top 5 will win, I am hoping for Tiger to take the reigns away from Rory.

I think that Tiger and Rory will probably be in contention on Sunday. I'm really hoping that we finally get that final pairing with the both of them and having it go right down to the wire.

As for others in the top 5, Justin Rose looked really good today so I could see him sticking around on the weekend and possibly playing spoiler. Sned if we're talking top-5 in points rankings coming in.
